The Canes' defenses the the reason why the option died out as an offense in college. UM drew the blueprint to stopping it. Speed and athleticism, from the front four through the secondary, on defense made it obsolete.

**** right they did. All those beatings they gave Oklahoma and Nebraska in the 80's and early 90's. I remember Dan Stubbs killing them off the edge
