Pieces of an article on Scout about Coley.

“Right now, same old same old with the recruiting. Florida State is recruiting me hard, Ole Miss, and Miami has come along too,” he said.

He said he doesn't have a favorite but that he wants to go to Tally for the Florida game.

“(FSU’s) offense is very organized, they throw the ball a lot. Of course, I’m a wide receiver, so I look at that, and the quarterback is a good quarterback, so the offense is a good fit for me,” he said. “Miami, the same thing. Miami throws the ball too. I haven’t paid too much attention because I really haven’t had the time to watch them that much.” "

Looks like we have been recruiting him as of late.

As we **** well should. Would love to hear from the we-should-stay-away-from-Coley croud what they see as the absolute worst case scenario if we get him.

Two things to watch for here 1) will the staff actually offer 2) will ha have the grades if he wants to come

2 big hurdles

Peter is it actaul grades or just his test score, because if it is his test score; then tell him about the free ACT, SAT, GRE prep testing site number2.com. Its adpative so the site well focus testing material on strengthing tge students weak the areas. It will also tell the students why thier answer was wrong and what they were most likely thinking. The site also allows for someone to be set up as a proctator to recieve emailed progress reports on the student.

Share the info with any miami recruits that need to improve thier test scores.

Go Canes

Pete, just say the staff DOES offer Coley.

What can we except with his recruitment from there on out? Our Chances?

Honorable post Paranos. Is this a course you are currently enrolled in? All in good fun bro.

Not Pete but if we do offer we definitely have a good chance. Obviously Pete's hurdles are related to each other.

Tough recruitment to get a grasp of though.

Basically what JHall said. Coley has interest and would be even more serious if he had an offer, but even I he wanted to come here, he may have to go prep first

I just don't want to see a replay of the Kelvin Benjamin situation, but with a different staff in place I don't expect that to happen.

Coley and Collins to the noles would be such a tremendous waste of talent. Hard to fathom.

Do you remember the Banjamin thing? All people kept saying was we weren't recruiting him because he would never qualify. I remember gogeta in particular flipping out and Benjamin really wanted us to recruit him. He commits to the Noles and the grades excuses came out again, and boom, kid never has a problem getting into FSU.

Major ball drop.

Doesn't mean he could have gotten into Miami

Then why was it a ball drop? Kid had crazy bad grades and there was no way he could get in.

Because that's not true. We didn't recruit him because we assumed he couldn't get in, when in the end he would have been able to. Trying to remember who was confirming his ability to get into Miami but regardless whether that person was 100% accurate it was certainly worth recruiting the **** kid when he would have committed to us.

now THERE'S something you can legitimately blame Shalala for. Miami's uber strict grade policies

I guess the point I am making is being lost. There's lots of things we can't control or help when recruiting but we just flat out let FSU get Benjamin. Not even a fight. Maybe he wouldn't have gotten in here, that's not my point, the one thing we can control is the effort we make.

We handed them a talented WR and he ends up tossing our guy to the side 2 years later and changing a game against us with a big play. Maybe he ends up a Nole no matter what but we can't just let these guys get away without a fight. I do have faith that this staff is doing everything they can with Coley though.
