He just makes it look so easy sometimes. ****.

Gonna leave here one of the best if he stays on course.

Seemed like he caught the kick and was in the endzone 3 seconds later. Clearly, he's our most explosive and talented WR by a million miles. You'd be hard-pressed to show me a better WR prospect from the 2013 class. Once he gets the nerves fully out of his system, he's going to give us a similar boost to what Duke gave us last year. He's that good.

The talent is undeniable. The run after the catch ability could be elite.

His hands are a concern as of right now. He bobbled 3 different balls yesterday and even on the ones he caught cleanly (like in this video) he used his body to assist on the catch.

I know everyone is assuming he'll correct the hands things...but I can't even begin to list the number of uber talent run-after-the catch type receivers who started with the dropsies and kept that crap forever like luggage.

If he corrects that he's got All American talent...but by God I need to see him correct that before we start trusting him on returns in big games.

Did anyone watch the kid play a lot in high school? Did he have issues with drops?

There's a huge difference between a guy with stone hands and guy who is struggling with nerves and has a little mental block. Coley has great hands. He'll get it corrected without question.

Someone more familiar with this HS tape may correct me, but I don't think his hands have ever been an issue before. As mentioned earlier, I think it's nerves on the bigger stage, nothing more. I never heard anyone say that one of his weaknesses as a player was his hands. This just popped up. As such, it's pretty easy to believe it's nervousness (especially if you watched the kid's presser when he signed, very emotional) and will be ironed out as he gets his feet wet.

I ain't worried about the kid at all.

Are we really interested in putting a guy who's bobbling routine passes at PR in a meaningful game? Dorsett's not shifty but he doesnt drop punts. The raiders had tim brown fair catching punts for about 5 years just because he was reliable.

It makes a lot of sense to put this guy on KR and get Duke off to save him more pummeling than he needs. Guys dont generally drop kickoffs anyway. But i cant say I have even slight interest in a PR experiment in an important game until he seems clearly free of his mental block.

Yes. Coley was catching everything in practice- on the sideline, low balls, high balls, fastballs. He has excellent hands, just needs to continue to adjust to the big leagues.

It should be dictated by the game, score, etc. Sometimes you need a game changer other times you hold the fort.

That's good to hear...hopefully it's just a mental thing then.

As I stated before once he gets the ball in his hands...the talent is undeniable. Game breaker.

just as the announcer said"this kid's stride is pretty"
Also, Portis has gained some baby fat! Lol.
As per another poster ( V dawg cane)said- he looks like Carlton from Fresh Prince!lol

I think it's key that UM plays another blowout or two and work Coley into more games where there isn't so much pressure. I think within due time, he'll literally grow as a player right in front of our eyes. I think that was the biggest benefit of last nights scrimmage.

Coley just ooozes talent but it still needs to be developed like any other freshman
