I've noticed how most of us are livid and beyond consoling for rancid and horrible taste we have
in our mouths from the monumental collapse ofthe team. The debates over coaching or talent
being the catalyst of this catastrophe.
The truth of the matter is a good coach can get the most out of players he has when they
respect and trust him. We've all watched college football for years and have seen marginal players
overachieve in offensive and defensive schemes because the coach utilized that player's best attribute
by placing in situations to succeed. I'm not saying talent isn't needed to be great team, but it isn't a excuse
to you use for lack of it, when you fail as a coach to put players in positions to succeed. Look at teams like
Baylor and Stanford. They don't have the best talent in the country, but they're coaching staffs get it done.
You place either coaching staff here at UM and we're competitive against good teams and dominant against
bad ones.
I really respect Golden for what he's done for Miami, but if he doesn't swallow his pride and make some changes, he'll be gone along with the inept coaches he excuses and defends.
Talent can make team great, but great coaches make dynasties.
