Coaches falling from grace, while Golden stays strong

I remember when Golden was hired, myself and several other Canes collectively said "WHO?" (I was firmly aboard the "Chucky Train"). There were new faces popping up in college football, and Golden was not one of the more popular ones. My '**** friends were laughing and cheering with the big time hire of Muschamp. Boise's Peterson and TCU's Patterson held a lot of esteem with their late decade success. Oregon's Chip Kelly was picking up steam with his killer offense, Notre Dame had the other Kelly, and Michigan fans were ranting and raving about Hoke.

2.5 seasons later...
Muschamp on the verge of being fired
Peterson's broncos are a shell of their former selves
Patterson's horned frogs strike fear into nobody
Hoke is a joke
C. Kelly is failing in the NFL, while his team proves it doesn't need him to succeed
B. Kelly had one season of success and is feeling the heat

And our man Golden? Guided a program through some of its darkest times, and with perfect timing. We are soaring just as we come out of the clouds. Who else in the country would you rather have than Golden? As Miami starts winning big and returns to the national spotlight, don't be surprised to see Al's name among those of College's Elite.

Also, beat WF! Go Canes!

Still too early to tell if Golden is going to pan out but all signs point towards yes. It'll be interesting to see how he recruits the rest of this year and particularly next year. He's been pulling good classes with all this **** going on, what can be do with it over?

Brian Kelly is feeling zero pressure. ND has been so much worse this year bc Reese has been the qb and no longer has eifert to throw ducks to. Golson gave that offense an the ability to move the ball on many teams with his running ability.

Patterson and Peterson are interesting as both programs have fallen to mediocre levels without much of a reason. Boise never got good recruits per the ranking sites but still ran the table consistently

Boise State has also strengthened it's formerly weak conference schedule. The MWC presents stronger competition.

Would be funny to look back at the golden hired thread. Does it even exist?

I was on the Golden train before he was hired. Do your research folks......then you won't look like fools after the fact.

With all this coaching vacancy talk. I wonder why teams don't look into cristobal... I know we dislike him folks but the man can coach.

Isn't Patterson coaching Wisconsin now? He's a pretty **** good coach, obviously no Golden, but he's solid.

You forgot Bielema. **** of a season he is having. A real turnaround in Arkansas.

Best part about that fat pig was his wife tweeting #Karma after Wisconsin lost, then Arkansas went on their current 5 game losing streak where they are getting absolutely slapped up.

2nd best thing: Radio's LBers are getting torched every week. THAT has to help Randy's recruiting in S FL :)

I remember when the hunt got narrowed down to Golden and Edsall. I knew I had 0 interest in Edsall, because UCONN sucked and I just didnt like his attitude. Never felt that these kids would respond well to him. Then I saw that Golden turned some garbage Temple team into something respectable. I'm not going to say I was as excited for Golden as I was at the thought of Patterson or Gruden which were the 2 biggest names that were realistically circulated (even if landing them was not realistic in itself), but I was excited it was Golden and not Edsall.

Boise has nowhere near the talent they had during their run. At one time they had some nfl skill guys and a great college qb. They don't resemble the Kellon Moore team or even the one before that.
