Coach Coley impact

Maybe, but we all understood when he was hired that we needed his talent over the long term and not JUST with this class, which was pretty much formed before he came on board.

Yep. But 2014 is going to be HUGE in terms of his impact. Golden, Barrow, Rich, Coley, Cristobal.... Even Coach Williams can recruit and DEVELOP. There is a reason Coley got PAID.

Here is my fear. (a long analogy goes with it)

My father-in law used to sell fire alarm systems to companies. Well he ended up getting the Philly Airport and wrote the contract up. In his contract he pretty much locked the airport into dealing only with his company for next bagillion years. Fast forward, he switched companies and is now trying to get himself into the airport but did such a good job at his old place it's hard for him to get in there now.

I fear Coley did such a good job with #6 from the jump that he might have locked himself out now....who knows.

i think Coley's real impact will be felt in 2014 and beyond. I kno we all love 6 n he is an elite talent, but 2014 looks to be loaded with elite talent with a lot of it in southern florida. lets not judge Coley on 2 weeks of recruiting when he put 2 years or more in on these same kids for FSU

There was no realistic way that we would have gotten Coley's full impact this late in the game for this class. At this point, kids have too many relationships with not just coaches, but schools as well. Flipping him over was a fantastic move, and definitely had to have impacted some of these kids, but not to the extent that he will in 2014 and beyond.

Expecting his hire to lock up this years class in a matter of 2-3 weeks was just not realistic

That aint what we heard last week. More spin and more wait til next BS. Same cycle Miami has been stuck in for a decade. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

I think all of us went full ****** and thought we were gonna get everyone this year. We'll see what happens.

As somebody else said, he might be the reason we became aware of the Kirkland (and by proximity, Thomas) situation. Even if he impact has not or does not yield tangible results this season, he still had an impact in that he allowed us to not get played by the Ice Harris camp, and we now have the opportunity to make a final push at Thomas from the position of knowledge that he might not have been planning on coming here, despite what his coach had been telling us.

SHould be interesting. Bakas and a few others have stuck to their guns about Bama being the real threat all along. We will see who ends up looking like they knew what they were talking about.

Unless I am mistaken, anything said about Coley locking everyone up was just people getting way to excited about the hire and projectile ****ting all over the place. If you take a step back, his hire would have directly impacted Stacy Coley and Gus Edwards, and should have helped with Thomas. Anything else would have been a bonus. But that doesnt change the fact that with 2 weeks to go, hiring a new coach isnt going to make kids automatically flip.

if you thought that was going to be the result, you havent been paying attention.

It is crazy how the info is all over the place with kids this year. This cycle has just been insane. So many kids wanting to play the game. Keith doing his epic troll thing.

+10000000

Some of us were severely questioned over the past 2 weeks because we had the audacity to indicate that we would not sign all of the remaining targets. We didn;t have any insider knowledge...just 20+ years of follwoing recruting. SMH

You ain't kidding. Just when you think it can't get worse, it does. Twitter took recruiting right off the ledge.
