Clemson's HC thinks Seth Beer is pretty good

Clemson’s first-year head coach, Monte Lee (from d1baseball.com):


“Best I’ve ever seen, best hitter,” Lee said after Beer hit two homers against Wake Forest on March 12. “I’m telling you right now, I’ve told anybody that’s asked me, I’m not afraid to say it. I know we’re only 13 games into the season and he’s a true freshman, but I have never seen anybody that hits like this guy — never. Not in 16, 17 years of coaching. I’ve had some guys that have played in the big leagues, I’ve coached first-round draft picks. This guy is the best hitter that I have seen. You make a mistake and he punishes you … He’s unbelievable.”

I agree he mashes the ball.

He hit 3 HRS against us?

He crushed one last week at UGA not sure it's landed.
Absolute moonshot.
If he hit 7 years ago with those bats he would hit 25 or more hRs.

Was at all three games against em, not since Posey, have i been so nervous when a kid walks up to that plate every time.

Pat Burrell was the best I've ever seen in college, in my opinion. He hit moon shots while hitting for a ridiculously high average and slugging percentage. Mark Kotsay in college was also awesome.

Beer is great, but not yet on the level of the aforementioned, in my opinion.
