I have seen ESPN hype up the Syracuse-Clemson game all week and I really can't see the score being any closer than 3 touchdowns for Clemson. I also saw the media hype up Clemson's last week win over WF ( a game which they did, and should have crushed them). Is this really all because of the fact that Clemson has the history of loosing these games or is it the media stretching to find ways to validate that the Tigers are good?

Clemson should win easily, but Clemson gonna Clemson at least once this season, they always do.

Couldnt agree more. Didnt they bump our game to the "out house" station for this game? And isnt this game being played in the dome? Man Sammy Watkins is gonna go crazy on that turf. 3 Tds is being nice. This game will be over by halftime easily.

ESPN wants Syracuse to be good to get some interest in the NE, not to mention probably half the employees at ESPN went to SU(they have a renowned broadcast journalism school)
Miami will pull ratings, CU vs SU needs more exposure.

Carrier Dome is no paradise, there's no A/C (amazing considering the sponsor, doh) and it is going to be a warm day in Syracuse. Orange has had more then a few upsets on a historic basis on their home field. So it could be interesting. Still think Clemson wins it but don't be surprised if it's closer than expected. A full house is expected and that's a lot of trapped heat. Sometimes it get's a bit foggy inside. Games in November - no problem, except for the snow!

It was an insightful post, spare the sarcasm.

Spot on regarding what it's like in the Carrier Dome. The Dome will be one of the hottest places, if not the hottest place, Clemson will play this year, especially, if it's warm in Syracuse that day. There are tiny ventilation ports near the top of the concrete that supports the roof, but they don't make much of a difference in cooling the place.

Add to that the fact that SU is used to playing there (a turf field that isn't crowned), has a decent amount of speed, the offense is starting to click with Terrell Hunt under center and is usually solid defensively, and SU could make a game of this. I'm not saying SU will win, but i wouldn't be surprised to see SU hang in there.

Syracuse is also bringing back guys like Jim Brown and Floyd Little. It's going to be emotional and the fans are going to be pumped. If SU hangs around for a little bit, Clemson is going to have a fight on their hands.

Temperature range on Saturday is a high of 78 and a low of 61. Clemson has played in a warmer client at home. Temp is not going to be a factor.

I might go since my cousin is a former player we get free tickets when we want them. Only go to SU games if a big ranked opponent comes in. Saying this i'll be at home watching my canes against the red neck Paul Johnson. Can't stand him...

I see you've been to a game there as well.

With nearly 50K warm bodies, that's a lot of heat with no place to go. Still think Clemson avoids the Clemsoning.

This. It's not like we're talking uconn here. I lived in clemson for a while and during august practice it gets in the mid 80's low 90's, they won't be affected by anything in terms of heat unless they roll down to miami one year and its 100% humidity or something

Syracuse lost to Penn St and got blown away by Northwestern, and followed that up by beating up Wagner and Tulane... And Clemson is supposed to struggle with ****ty team because the turf isn't crowned and it is going to be 85 degrees in there?!?

Well ****! Just lost the money I put down on The # 3 ranked team in the country who is supposed to be a contender for the national title!

If this game is within 2 tds Clemson should drop in the rankings!

There's one thread on this board where the majority of posters are claiming FSU has no chance against Clemson. Now this one where a large contingent thinks Clemson will have trouble with ******* Syracuse. Lulz all around.
