There appears to be a bit of an uproar on the board, regarding the few decommits that we've encountered over the past couple of weeks for the 2020 class. I get it. Decommits are never fun. However, as have been stated by several other posters, this is the 2020 class that we are talking about here. They are still sophomore's in High School; meaning these kids are 15-16 years old.
A couple of weeks ago, I visited my family back in my hometown. While I was at my grandmother's house, one of my 15 year old cousins was eating a few slices of pizza at the bar in the kitchen. Do you know what this maf'ucker said to me, while he was eating his pizza?....."I got a taste for a burger!"
After I slapped his dumb *** in the back of the head for confusing the **** out of me, I quickly remembered how indecisive and uncertain young boys are about pretty much everything, except wanting to beat their meat 3 times a day. Like my cousin, most 15-16 year olds can't even make up their mind about what they want to eat, let alone, where they are going to spend 4 years in college.
I am more shocked when a 15-16 year old kid actually commits to a school, than I am when one decommits. Stressing out over kids who are so young, that they still call the mothers "mommy", makes as much sense as expecting those same kids to be truly certain and committed to anything at that age.
Let's at least allow all of our 2018 class to enroll, before we start losing our **** over kids who are in the process of completing only their second year of High School.
