Chickillo Moving Inside?

McCord needs 20 pounds and looks like the real deal and might pass Chick. Anyone comment on Chickillo possibly moving inside? Good move?

Is this a general question about Chick, or you heard this might be happening?
 
General question. I've heard rumor on another board, but it seems to make sense, if he can fill out. He Dad was a DT...
 
I saw something concerning last night about Chick. I do not think he has the speed to play DE. There was a play when Thomas broke from the pocket on Chick's side. When he broke they were both even running laterally. Thomas ran away from Chick with ease.

I am not giving up on this kid at DE, I think he just needs to keep working hard and things will come. Wish we had the liberty of redshirting him last year to get him ready but what can you do.

Keep him at DE.

Also, it is hard to judge these guys individually because they get no help from other players on the line. In the second half, we started seeing some pressure...GOOD PRESSURE too.

DE all the way. Not worried about Chick. Hasn't had the best year but still solid. Kid has played almost every snap at DE as a true FR and SO. He will get better and he's a worker

Chick hardly has enough size for DE and you wanna move him inside? He'll be fine.. He isn't having the best season but, in a perfect situation, he would have 2 seasons to put on weight, add strength, and adjust to the college game. Instead, he started from Day 1. Chick is a natural Strongside DE. They usually don't leave HS ready to immediately make an impact.

This. Maybe I'm missing something but the guy doesn't get any push at DE. I don't think he will work at DT.
 
The problem with Chick is that he just isn't very athletic.

PS Re: McCord, an acquaintance of mine is interning with Swasey. I asked him weeks ago who to watch for and he said McCord. Said once the kid adds some weight and strength, will be nasty.

Chick been playing DT on about 10-15% of the snaps already.

no offense to pete, but hes talking about a true freshman who is 18 yrs old.... im sure petes seen enough games to talk football but saying he will never be a true de is absurd.. he can easily get as big and explosive as terell suggs was when he was at arizona state... and i would sure as **** take that pass rushing production and wouldnt even care if he did anything against the run.. the coaches are just being smart right now and not asking him to put his hand on the ground every play and get engulfed by much bigger and stronger olinemen and allowing him to use his speed and quickness off the edge or on stunts.. kid didnt have 30 sacks in 2 years, and he could have had 40 if 10 of 11 starters hadnt graduated on defense heading into his sr year of hs making him the only guy other teams had to worry about
