CHATFIELD

nesta would be a moron not to come here

dude was interested when he was looking at minimal pt next season.. now we had two players decelare and a jag leave in fines. gonna get immediate playing time
Dumbest post I’ve seen today! Nesta has been repping The U and been recruiting for us. You disrespectful somamambich!
Wtf?

I was replying to those who were saying that Nesta wasn't 100% cane

Dude is ALL cane

I never said otherwise, I was explaining to the doubters that there is no way he will leave now that the depth chart is open
**** my bad fam. That first sentence made me think you were also doubting him I apologize it’s just that some of these creatures on here baffle me with their posts.

I think it’s fair to doubt Nesta seeing as he’s the only commit who didn’t sign , and the only somewhat reasonable explanation for him not signing is so he can take an official with the other 3 from AH, which we all can see now is obviously not true . Nothing is certain in recruiting

Is there something about signing early that would have precluded him from taking said visit?

I think if he would’ve signed he wouldn’t be able to take an official , but I’m not sure

When I look at game changers: Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin , Devin Hester, Charles Woodson etc. Campbell is not close in my opinion.

You’re comparing NFL legends and Hall of Famers to a kid still in high school . Of course its “not close”

FSWho offered him even later then we did, it says Jan 3rd. Granted I agree he should have had an offer a LONG time ago, but the late offer excuse for him to not come here would be out the window when he just picked up the Criminoles offer 10 days ago

they have an excuse with the coaching changes. also, their dline coach is a better recruiter than ours. DIDN'T say better coach, but he is a really good recruiter.

Seems fishy. I am sure there is a way to manage that where he could be part of the activities. I recall him saying he wouldn't sign early before that visit narrative began circulating.

Recruits that dont sign early are still weighing their options/looking around. Its pretty cut and dry.

You can acknowledge that fact and still have confidence Nesta will still be a Cane. It's not binary.

The late offer BS only works against us. Other schools can offer the day before signing day and kids ignore it

Once you sign, you can’t OV.

I don’t follow recruiting as closely as others on here but you guys should know that. Shouldn’t even be a question.

Nonsense. They could have offered him back in September before they imploded. With two kids declaring for the draft of which one (Wilkerson) makes no sense, FSU offered Chatfield 10 days ago. Miami already signed Rosseau who projects in same position. If this were my kid, I'd recommend he explore his options. Still think he picks Miami.

Was he offered by Oregon or Michigan state earlier in the process? If so, saying we offered first only applies to FSU's old staff.
Very discouraging we waited so long to offer a stud in our own backyard. Im confident (hopeful) he'll forgive coach Kul and become a monster off the edge one day.

Only care sbout this guy if he helps with the other AH guys.

Dude is not a good fit in our scheme.

You tripping, Chatfield fits what Miami does. One of Miami’s most productive and best pass rushing end this year was Trent Harris and Harris is smaller than what Chatfield is before he came to Miami

tys1kh8lmiv1t2czl95c.webp"Let MJ talk, please. It makes my job much easier."

Holy ****. Didn't know I was on Canesport.

No. Chatfield is not bigger than Trent Harris was at the same point. Chatfield is slightly smaller. Harris was 6-2 230 coming out of High School. Chatfield is 6-1 220.

Plus using Trent Harris as an example is nonsense. Harris was a nice situational player for us but he was a tweener. Manny made good use of him but he was recruited to be an OLB in No D'ofrios 3-4 defense.

I don't fret about situational players. The coaches for sure felt the same ways that's why they slow played him.

Like I said, I wouldn't bat an eye if he didn't sign with us. South Florida grows guys like Chatfield in trees.

Whereas if we lost Campbell or Silvera I would flip out and it would and should cause a meltdown in here.

i know briggs and chatfield will probably wait until signing day but how awesome would it be to get a committment from these two this weekend

then just have campbell and ezzard and another OL most likely to work on

Still waiting for the evidence pointing to Taggart being a good recruiter.
