CHATFIELD

Only care sbout this guy if he helps with the other AH guys.

Dude is not a good fit in our scheme.

You tripping, Chatfield fits what Miami does. One of Miami’s most productive and best pass rushing end this year was Trent Harris and Harris is smaller than what Chatfield is before he came to Miami

Let MJ talk, please. It makes my job much easier.

This is going to be a Miami-FSU battle

Staff better learn to quit slow playing kids and thinking whenever we offer they will just shut things down & commit. We are not on that level yet, we are headed to that level. FSU shouldn’t even have Samuel Jr if they somehow pull Chat that’s 2 Ls for us.

Have you seen the 2019 and 2020 recruiting? The staff is all over their targets and waaaay out ahead of everyone in Florida. Not sure the slow playing argument holds overall. Most likely it has to do with where these kids are on their board.

FSWho offered him even later then we did, it says Jan 3rd. Granted I agree he should have had an offer a LONG time ago, but the late offer excuse for him to not come here would be out the window when he just picked up the Criminoles offer 10 days ago

Didn't we offer before FSU?

The notion that when you offer matters applies in some cases, but not all. If this kid was a begging-for-an-offer lock, he'd be committed. If his other best option is that dumpster fire in Tallahassee and he still isn't committing here, it's safe to say we once again overestimated his interest level a wee bit.

That blows up the whole “slow play” theory.

If Chatfield wants to be a Canes he was offered plenty early enough to be a Cane. The narrative of him practically dying for a Canes offer and the thought that he’d commit quickly after receiving one were both false.

I always point to a dude like Bandy. Bandy was flat disrespected by our prior staff. He was a Cane though, so he grabbed his spot.

Chatfield was never disrespected. We evaluated him over time and eventually offered. Not every player will be offered out of the womb.

Reminds me of the old quip: You know what they call the guy who graduates last in his medical school class? Doctor. You know what we call a guy who was offered in October of his senior season and signs his NLOI? A Cane.

Campbell is not a game changer but has potential with right coaching, which I believe he is not totally convinced Rumph is the best person to develop necessary skills to prepare for next level. If the kid believes in Rumph and Canes staffers he would have signed early. But, I would show him how Georgia coach Smart benefited from a loaded roster at Bama., and the dawgs DBs were toasted against Oklahoma and Georgia.

Wrong, Campbell is a game changer and the #1 dB in the country

You know the drill, man.

"Enjoying the process."
"Courtesy visit."
"Just wants to take a few visits."
"Waiting until after his OV."
"Package deal with his 3rd cuzzin' Samson D."
"Wanted to be offered earlier."

Actions are actions.

nesta would be a moron not to come here

dude was interested when he was looking at minimal pt next season.. now we had two players decelare and a jag leave in fines. gonna get immediate playing time
Dumbest post I’ve seen today! Nesta has been repping The U and been recruiting for us. You disrespectful somamambich!
Wtf?

I was replying to those who were saying that Nesta wasn't 100% cane

Dude is ALL cane

I never said otherwise, I was explaining to the doubters that there is no way he will leave now that the depth chart is open
**** my bad fam. That first sentence made me think you were also doubting him I apologize it’s just that some of these creatures on here baffle me with their posts.

I think it’s fair to doubt Nesta seeing as he’s the only commit who didn’t sign , and the only somewhat reasonable explanation for him not signing is so he can take an official with the other 3 from AH, which we all can see now is obviously not true . Nothing is certain in recruiting

When I look at game changers: Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin , Devin Hester, Charles Woodson etc. Campbell is not close in my opinion.
