Something is off here. I've been following this for a long, long time...and I hate to say it, but wayyy more often than not when I see something like this, there's more than meets the eye here.
I've certainly seen kids this unknown blow up in a year, but it's pretty rare. To have that tape, and run a supposed 4.48, and play for a known (albeit small) school like Immokalee, and to have that ridiculous production in your sophomore and junior year and basically no one is paying you any attention...something is off.
Grades, a criminal record, poor attitude, home life...I'd be very interested to get a back story on this kid because I'd be willing to bet there's a reason he's this unheralded. Someone mentioned Couch....Couch was committed to Tennessee 18 months before he signed. He had multiple P5 offers. This kid is out here intercepting every ball under the sun and they can't even get a picture of him for his 247 profile? Even more telling to me is he hasn't gotten an offer in over 7 months. 3 D1 schools offered him early last year, he was named as a preseason star in the local papers, he went out and intercepted **** near a pass a game, and not a single other school offered him since last May? Through all that? Kids like that don't slip through the cracks very often unless there's more to the story. Would love to hear from someone in the area who might know the kid.
