Channing brought up a good point about Golden. What part of the team is Golden good/important for? For example: How chip Kelly was for the Oregon offense or how Saban is for the Alabama defense. He compared Golden to Sporano on how everyone would blame the coordinators and other coaching staff. Maybe that's what we should be asking ourselves. I know the obvious answer is recruiting but it has nothing to do with what's the real number one reason to have a title of a head coach.

Obviously, you don't know $**t about Golden, because real fans know that special teams is his thing.

all excellent points
but, at some point the CEO has to realize his COO and CFO are FUBAR
I don't mind a manager guy who recruits and sells the U, yet Al needs to see the results of his D under NoD'nofrio
with defensive elites falling out of trees in southern florida, this scheme is not effective
a good CEO recognizes this and makes the right change

NO....they don't they are really not needed...if we had bad special teams this year we would have won at least 2 more games....

and AULBURN Says HELLO

Great post....

I thought a similar thing but after thinking more, plenty of successful college coaches have made a career of being great CEOs with great coordinators. Give me Mack Brown, Bobby Bowden, Paterno any day...
