CanesInsight let's have a discussion.

I've made a list below, of CFB championship coaches currently coaching in the NCAA, NFL, or "Free Agents" if you will, for coaches currently searching for a job.

Every coach on this list has WON a national title. If they went to the National Championship I didn't include them. Getting to the game doesn't mean can win the big one. I have listed the head coaches as well as the offensive and defensive coordinators that were on the respective national title teams in my list.

I've listed the coaches by where they currently are coaching. This doesn't mean they won a title with the current school.

National Championship Coaches Currently Coaching
Alabama – HC Nick Saban (4)
Florida State – HC Jimbo Fisher (1)
LSU – HC Les Miles (1),
Ohio State: HC Urban Meyer (2)
Oklahoma – HC Bob Stoops (1)
South Carolina - HC Steve Spurrier (1)
UTSA – HC Larry Coker (1)

Not currently coaching in college but may Return
Gene Chzik (1)
Pete Carroll (1)
Jim Tressel (1)
Texas Assistant Mack Brown (1)

My question(s) to each of you who opens this thread. Please answer what you prefer or all of the questions.

What are some qualities of a Championship Coach?
What do all of the coaches who have won championship have(if anything) in common?
What Championship coach qualities do Miami coaches currently possess?
Does Miami currently have what it takes to become a National Championship team?
If not what will it take for Miami to return to a championship level in your opinion?

Thanks for any and all responses.

This just makes me laugh at the fact that an overwhelming majority of knowledgable college football fans wouldn't be able to correctly identify the physical location of our previous 2 corches.

What does it take to be a championship coach? In Coker's case, all you have to do is inherit a roster that looks better than a ******* Ferrari.

Of course, given time he will ***** it up so that it looks like a Yugo.
