First off, Beat Syracuse because nothing else matters. However, unlike the (albeit programmed with flaws) faceless computers that screwed Miami in the 2000 BCS, the CFP Committee is actually composed of humans...With bias, flaws and self-intrests. Lots of discussion here on the committees's releases, but no examination of the people putting out the end product which holds so much impact (especially $$$$) to College Athletics.

On the face of it Grobe, Williams and Gladchuck should be helpful if the unthinkable happens in the ACCCG, but a powerful SEC bias with Pinkel, Riley, and Yurachek is present. The Big 12 one bid argument may not hold as the conference gets a boost with Western guy Ault, Rhoades, Shields, and McDaniel. Oh the B1G in trouble? Nah, Manuel is the head of the commitee and holds outsized influence, plus the Miami of Ohio AD guy, Sayler, knows if he wants to move up in the Midwest, he better play B1G ball. As for the Whiteside wildcard, what conference has a cushy communications director job ready for her after this gig? "Journalists "now rate about the same on the cooked linguini integrity scale as "Buy Here Pay Here" used car salesman, so she is easily bought off by the highest bidder.
With talks of bid numbers, thought it be fun to post the faces (and possible motivations) behind the CPF rankings.
