2013 Miami commit Jamal Carter is excited to play Columbus this Friday, as he is looking to avenge the two losses they handed the Spartans last year.
“We are really excited for this game because we never beat Columbus and this is our senior year and we really want to beat them.”
Carter will have a matchup that will be surely one to watch, as he goes up against friend and Columbus WR Jesus Wilson, who is committed to FSU.
“I’m going to call him before the game and I’m going to talk a little trash to him.”
Carter does admit that Columbus has a powerful offense.
“They are good at running, I remember they had (Brandon) Radcliff and used to run the ball a lot. They also run a lot of slants and options.”
Carter spoke about his team’s season, saying they have to stay focused.
“We are just focusing one game at a time, so right now we are just focused on Columbus.”
The safety also spoke the two Hurricane games he saw and he did have some things he liked.
“Duke, I liked Duke especially in the first game. In the second game, I know they didn’t do too well but they are gonna come back strong.”
The Southridge product also spoke about trying to get other top prospects to come to Miami.
“My advice to all the south Florida kids, is to stay home. Stay home and play at Miami.”
Carter is pledged to the Hurricanes and expressed his level of commitment.
“I wanna say I’m a hundred percent committed, but I’m keeping my options open so I’ll say about 95 percent”
