Carter Bradley 2018 QB from Jacksonville is another player that Miami should be looking at. The 6'3" 208lbs QB can make all the throws and better yet he throws his wide receivers open unlike Rosier whom we have now.

Miami needs to bring in 2Q b's this year one a high rated prospect and another a developmental player. Bradley performed well at the Nike opening, And got scholarship offers from Louisville, Toledo, lane kiffin at F Au, ole miss, And Jeff brohm At purdue. All of these coaches have an excellent eyes for developing talent and spotting under the radar QB's.

Jarren williams commits to Miami and then gets beat out by nkosi Perry, Jarren Williams most likely will transfer. Where is a developmental QB may not, but rather wait his time and try to play for his RS junior year.

Here is a quote from an article about his Nike Opening performance.

https://247sports.com/Article/Recapping-the-Elite-11-Finals-53036053

.........Sunshine State Sleeper

Jacksonville (Fla.) Providence’sCarter Bradleyis currently ranked as the nation’s No. 820 overall prospect in the 2018 class according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite.

However, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound prospect turned in one of the better performances of the Elite 11 Finals earning No. 6 ranking after the pro day simulation and a No. 2 ranking after the 7on7 session by 247Sports. Bradley showed that he belonged in the group of 24 competing in Los Angeles, and registered a better performance than some other signal callers with a higher rating.

Bradley did not earn an invitation to The Opening, but his showing during the pro day simulation and the 7on7 were worthy of advancing.

Evan Sherriffs will probably transfer in spring, leaving Malik Rosier, Nkosi Perry, and Casey Weldon. Let's say we land Williams, He has made it clear he doesn't want to sit on the bench wherever he goes. So now if I gets beat out what do you think hes going to do in 2018, he will transfer. Which in the Spring of 2018 would leave just the nkosi Perry and Casey Weldon as the only two scholarship QB's on Miami's roster.

We should take two but saying jarren will get beat out and implying this dude is better than jarren I think is a stretch

Jarrens film shows he's gonna be great, he knows we have nkosi and he knows there will be competition, if he was worried about sitting he wouldn't come here to begin with

Jarren will transfer if he doesn't start as a true freshman?

What a dumb post and thread.

Paranos has aspergers. Slightly retarded. Forgive him. Williams is signing only to transfer in the summer if he is beat out.

You guys don’t read well. It’s written as a hypothetical. If Perry wins the job and plays well, Jarren has no reason to stick around.

I agree we should take two. Bradley’s father is Gus Bradley and I like having QBs that are coaches kids. He would provide solid depth and competition until later in his career where he gets a chance to earn a starting job while the next young stud is groomed.

QBs transfer all the **** time.

We continually put ourselves in a position to have the AJ Highsmiths, Spencer Whipples, Evan Sherriefs of the world as our backups. If Rosier had gone down halfway through this season, as bad as he was the past two weeks, we would be 7-5 or worse because Sherriefs is that bad.

Meanwhile Clemson and Ohio State can plug in a new 4 star backup anytime they want and keep chugging along, even with dudes transferring out, because they built a buffer.

Right now we seem to be in decent shape, but what if the following happens:

Loser of N'Kosi vs Williams transfers out
Weldon is bad or transfers out

We are left with one of N'Kosi and Williams plus a true freshman for depth in 2019.

Agreed with this. Which is why I don't buy that if Williams doesn't win the battle with Perry/Weldon/Rosier that he'd leave. It's pure speculation.

Not many true freshman QBs are successful at the Power 5 level.

Hold on I never said this guy was better than williams. I said that bradley would be more likely to stay until his senior year if he was beat out by Nkosi perry. Now given a few years to develop I think Bradley can be just as a effective running an offense as Perry or Williams would be. Also some very good QB talent evaluater's feel the same way.

We should do like all the other top programs and keep plugging in the best QB that fits what we do. We took two in last class, and we'll take one in this class. Competition always works out who will stay and who will go, which is why we want as many talented QBs on the roster was we can find as someone may go. That said, I don't want any player at QB who might limit what we are able to do on offense. We know well what that looks like.

I think you meant Spring of 2019... But either way, to get to 2 scholarship QBs in Spring 2019, you are assuming: (1) Sheriffs transfers this off-season or the next; (2) Williams signs in 2018 (I'll give you that one), loses the QB battle, and decides to immediately transfer as a result; and (3) we don't land a single EE QB next class.

904Cane what specifically makes you say Bradley is not Miami caliber?

Especially considering Bradley despite not making the final cut for the elite 11, the writers felt compelled to mention how close he was to making the cut.

"IF" Kosi wins the job and stays until his Redshirt Junior year, will Williams and Weldon have the patience to stay around and wait 3 years for an opportunity? Nobody knows, and that's the issue. Can't afford to take a chance when we should be National Championship contenders at that point. Should bring in someone with decent mechanics who's willing to stick around and learn.
