What’s up CanesInSight nation, my name is Sebastian Font, a freshman here at the U. Throughout my entire life I’ve been a ‘Canes fan, at every home game for football and baseball, always sticking through the ups-and-downs.

Accomplishing a childhood dream of being a part of Mark Light magic, I was part of the baseball team here as an outfielder in the 2024 freshman class. While this fall was one of the best experiences of my life, I realized my passion for sportswriting grew larger than my love for the game. That’s when I knew it was time to start a new journey.

After weeks of thought, prayer and introspection, I discussed it with Coach J.D. Now, with both his and the team’s support, I am excited to announce I will be joining the CanesInSight team as a writer. I’m even more excited to get to work with the CIS team and get involved in this great community.

Gotta show love and give special thanks to Peter and DMoney for giving me this opportunity.

As always Go ‘Canes!

Good Luck. Exciting to get some frontline news.

Also...one of my few regrets as a baseball guy is never getting up to the Cape for a game.

I know they are always looking for writers/baseball guys for the summer with internships. Just something to think about. Great way to start building a network.

Appreciate it, got some good connections through the coaching staff and teammates for the Cape. Would love to head up there for a summer!

Best of luck to you. You'll get a great education if you work hard and keep an open mind. Go Canes!

You will see a lot of *****ing on this board about the program. But this is as good of a baseball community you will find on a college baseball message board. The Ron Fraser Board is a treasure on CIS and we are here for every pitch for a decade+ Now

Look forward to your work. Baseball deserves more of a spotlight and cis along with Chris stock are the only ones that bring it consistently
