Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 4h Didn’t expect to hear the buzz I’m hearing on 7th round OT Seantrel Henderson. #Bills coach tells me “he can be special.” Really impressing

Tony Softli ‏@SoftliSTL Jul 20

Is Dunbar's future with Rams a ? Rams core special teams player Ray Ray Armstrong may get more playing time on defense.

Jake Arthur ‏@JakeArthurISR 9h
Erik Swoope building on yesterday's good performance. Running good routes and catching most things that he should.

Stephen Holder ‏@HolderStephen 12h
I think a guy to watch in the coming days is Erik Swoope. The former Univ of Miami hoops player has made quite an impression already

Steve Andress ‏@ColtsReporter Jul 24
Former hoops stud and TE Erik Swoope with a long catch with the 3s that gets some wooos from the team. Definitely a guy to keep an eye on.

It makes me laugh when people try to downplay Seantrel's talent. Work Ethic, fair game, but the kid had talent. It was a steal to get him in the 7th round. If he had good work ethic and stopped caring about weed, he could've been a first rounder imo.

I just wish Seantrel put in work while he was still in school. Golden tried everything to get the most out of him but that kid just wasn't responding (through no fault of goldens). Hope he has a long successful career though.

Jared Wheeler was claimed off waivers by the Bills, after getting released by the Panthers.

Frank Frangie ‏@Frank_Frangie 1h With Shorts out, the 3-man rotation at WR with the starters at one point was Robinson, Lee, Hurns. Great potential, but all rookies.

Hank Jones ‏@HankJoness 2h
Hurns is going to make the team.

Pete Prisco ‏@PriscoCBS Jul 22
Former Miami receiver Allen Hurns now has a real chance to make the Jaguars as a non-drafted rookie. If he keeps progressing.

Hays Carlyon ‏@HaysCarlyon 3h
Gus says Henne is really impressed with Hurns, he is as well.

Surfbort(les) ‏@timmillah 4h
Blake is having by far his best practice. Hurns has stuck out as well.

Kevin Fishbain ‏@kfishbain 9h Well, we've found the most popular player at Bears camp: rookie punter Pat O'Donnell.

Zach Zaidman ‏@ZachZaidman 9h
Pat O'Donnell just hit one of Saturn's rings. He has quickly become a cult hero to the fans in Bourbonnais.

dan durkin ‏@djdurkin 9h
never thought the day would arrive where a punter - rookie pat o'donnell - is getting the loudest cheers from the crowd at #bears camp.

Adam Jahns ‏@adamjahns 9h
#Bears Fans chanting "mega punt" when Pat O'Donnell steps on field and kicks.

Zach Zaidman ‏@ZachZaidman 5h
Pat O'Donnell on getting a standing ovation from #Bears fans at practice for his punting: "It's definitely a good feeling."

Zach Zaidman ‏@ZachZaidman 5h
Marc Trestman on if he heard the fans chanting for Pat O'Donnell: "Yeah, I sure did. Those Miami alums, they're an enthusiastic bunch."

Awesome for Hurns and honestly not surprising one bit. He's a very solid football player.

Undrafted rookie linebacker Jimmy Gainesreceived some first-team reps in team drills in place of Nigel Bradham, who stepped in with the second team for some parts of the drill. Gaines made his presence known on one play, diving to break up a Manuel pass to Brown in the flat. The Bills are trying to piece things together after losing Alonso for the season, and Gaines is the latest player in the mix. The favorite, and the most experienced of the bunch, remains Bradham.

Didn't see that coming

How funny will it be if Gaines goes on to have success in the NFL. I wonder what the guys on here who bash guys like Gaines all day will say afterwards. Probably something like "That's my boy Jimmy Gaines. I always knew he'd be something. Go rep that U!!!!"

For some time now, it has been my belief that, for various reasons, our guys play beneath their collective (and sometimes individual) talent levels while here. Jimmy Gaines being successful long-term would surprise me a bit, but getting a shot and some run (1-3 years) in the League would not. Hurns wouldn't surprise me as a guy who vests.

I had some epic battles with people here last season when I said we had enough guys (vis-a-vis our conference opponents) who'd get NFL shots. We'll see how this thread shakes out.

I think they will probably say..."how come the NFL can use him and AG and Co couldn't?"

Wasn't he our starting middle linebacker?

We're we supposed to let him play fullback as well? He was an average football player for us. He was smart, and knew his assignments, worked his *** off but lacked the athleticism to be a sideline to sideline linebacker.

Poor man's Darryl Sharpton, which isn't bad, just doesn't bode well for NFL success beyond making an NFL roster.
I should also say that even making an NFL roster, even for only a year or two, is a professional success and an achievent only a small percentage of the best players in college football accomplish.

I hope he makes it, but from watching him the past few years, his NFL future will depend upon being a special teams demon.
