that play with Howard essentially playing low and high with Carter coming down over the top to disrupt the pass was beautiful. Carter is the true playmaking safety we have sorely missed. No knock on bush

yeah he does...I wouldn't mind a couple of 15 yrd penalties against our safeties this yr, that way WR will feel a little "iffy" coming across the middle on our boys. I look for him and Bush to be massive on the fourth level of our defense. Need to start playing w/ evil intent on the field this yr. No more choir boy acts.

Bush was that guy his freshman yr....last yr w/ the sports hernia surgery, it thru him off. he miss all of spring and fall ball along w/ several practices. I feel this yr, Carter and Bush will man the safety spots, w/ Burns and Howard manning the islands. I think our secondary will be vastly improved. The line still has me worried up front. AQM/Mccord should get to the QB all day, but no upfront push from the DTs have me worried...that's why we were all tripping about Valentine not coming here. Hopefully the JUCO guys will be pleasantly surprising and atleast push the pocket backwards.
