2014 CaneHunt ’14: Tight End Board (TE)
Miami will offer scholarships to approximately 170-200 prospects every year. Each school has a BIG Board and position boards, which list prospects by the school’s priorities. Our “CaneHunt” boards are our attempt to “guess” the Hurricanes’ recruiting priorities. These boards will change throughout the recruiting cycle. Check back often during the year to check on the boards and get the latest updates on prospects. We hope you enjoy CaneHunt ’14.
Miami’s Need: 3
Miami currently has six (6) tight ends on the roster, including Beau Sandland and Standish Dobard. Three of them will be seniors (Cleveland, Dye, Perry) this season, meaning the Canes will be looking to bring as many as three new TEs in this upcoming class.

Season Stats:
Composite Rating / Rank: 98 | #1 TE
Scouting Report (s): NA
Schools of Interest: (23) ALA, USC, UM, FSU, ND, MI
Leader(s): ALA, USC
Status: Offered
Chance: Too Early
UPDATES:
2/23/13: Tyler Luatua is ranked the #1 TE in the nation, with a 98 rating, according to the 247Sports Composite. Currently, Tyler has the Canes in his top six schools. However, we must get him to campus quickly if we are to stand a chance of landing this elite TE. Most experts feel he will stay out west. USC and UCLA are already making their moves. Great challenge for Coach Carroll.

UPDATES:
2/23/13/: Bryce Dixon is another quality TE from California. He ranked the 6th best TE in the nation. Bryce is rated a 92, according to the 247Sport Composite. Unlike Luatua, Bryce is considered more likely to pick a school outside of California. Look for Ohio State to be the main competitor for the Canes. It’s a long way to NSD.

NOTE: Miami also offered Jeb Blazevich and Jacory Washington. However, they have indicated little or NO INTEREST in UM.
