Remember guys like Frank Gore and others have changed jerseys midway thru their UM career to go to a single digit number. Its not just So FL kids, its college football in general. Skill position kids like single digit numbers. College Linebackers like having numbers in the 40's. Its part of the youthful fun of our sport.
