We saw it first vs Florida, when Cam ran out of bounds on a scramble and let off the gas, gently trotting out of bounds. From the first time I saw him do it, I thought "somebody's gonna take a shot at him in a game that matters if he keeps that up". Sure enough, on our third drive Friday night with a little over 3 minutes left in the 1st, Cam drops back to pass, doesn't find anybody, and scrambles towards the sideline to his right for a few yards before going out of bounds. Right as he's going over the sideline, Cal's LB gives him a little shove, causing him to lose balance and fall and lose a shoe. I do think this should have been flagged, but that's irrelevant. Even if not to the extent he's done it in prior weeks, he calmly jogged out of bounds and slowed up as he passed the LOS before getting to the sideline.

I get it's because he's cool and confident...but somebody we play will see the film and take a shot if they can, ejection be damned. It doesn't take much to sprain an ankle, which could have happened Friday. If he would have sprinted out of bounds or stiff armed the tackler with his free left arm, he would have stayed on his feet. I don't know about you guys, but whatever the reason he's been doing it, I don't think it's worth risking the season when he can be a lot more careful every time he's going out of bounds. What do you guys think? Should he be getting out of bounds more urgently or am I being paranoid?

I agree with you on this. Juice aint worth the squeeze, because at most, it'd be a 15 yard gain.
