The 2024 College Football All-America Team is composed of the following College Football All-American first teams chosen by the following selector organizations: Associated Press (AP), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Walter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF), Sporting News (TSN, from its historic name of The Sporting News), Sports Illustrated (SI), The Athletic (Athletic), USA Today (USAT), ESPN, CBS Sports (CBS), College Football News (CFN), Athlon Sports, Phil Steele, and Fox Sports (FOX).

Currently, the NCAA compiles consensus all-America teams in the sports of Division I FBS football and Division I men's basketball using a point system computed from All-America teams named by coaches associations or media sources. Players are chosen against other players playing at their position only. To be selected a consensus All-American, players must be chosen to the first team on at least half of the five official selectors as recognized by the NCAA. Second- and third-team honors are used to break ties. Players named first-team by all five selectors are deemed unanimous All-Americans. Currently, the NCAA recognizes All-Americans selected by the AP, AFCA, FWAA, TSN, and the WCFF to determine consensus and unanimous All-Americans.

The following players were recognized as consensus All-Americans for 2024. Unanimous selections are followed by an asterisk (*).

The FWAA and TSN teams should be releasing soon, and Cam was already named to the TSN mid-season team, so that should be another.

If he is named first team to the FWAA as well, he will be considered a unanimous All-American.

Only named 2nd team FWAA, somehow behind Gabriel, so Cam will not be a unanimous All- American.

Stats that Cam outperformed Gabriel:

Passing yards per game
Passer Rating
Yards Per Attempt
Touchdown passes thrown
Touchdowns Accounted For
Total offense
Interception percentage
Rushing Yards
QBR
PAA
EPA

Stats that Gabriel outperformed Cam:

Completion percentage
Team wins (Not a QB stat)

Seems like a solid vote. Well done, boys and girls.

So.. a consensus AA at QB finished 4th in the Heisman race, behind another QB, and the Heisman winner was neither a unanimous AA nor consensus AA?

I believe Hunter is a consensus AA All Purpose, the list is missing several spots. Also, Hunter was an AP 1st team All American at 3 different spots. However, yeah Ward had no biz being that low in the Heisman voting

Yeah I figured people were missing. I have to go on a bit of a rant here.

I understand the Hunter hype. He's a generational talent. Was it a Heisman worthy season? Fortunately I'm not a voter. But I get it.
Jeanty got close enough to an unbreakable record to deserve the votes he got too.

But Gabriel? There's no way to justify it. Cam was better than him in every statistical category except completion percentage. Cam even had more rushing yards than Gabriel.

Put Cam on Oregon's roster and they're better. Put him on Texas, Georgia, Ohio State and they all finish unbeaten. The same can't be said for Gabriel.

There's no justification for Cam finishing behind Gabriel.

Yeah, I was totally taken aback seeing that. It made/makes zero sense. I would like to know what their reasoning behind such a discrepancy.

These people clearly have an agenda of some sorts… Hunter wins the Bednarik for the Best Defensive Player but he isn’t a Finalist for the Thorpe? I know none of the Awards/Foundations have any real ties to each other but as far back as I can remember there’s been some symmetry in how they’ve viewed players. This year seems way off.

Their legitimacy is in question

I have a question for all those voters dissing Cam and his game for our U....
Why be ****s??????

When do they think will they be able to see another QB.............. play and put up numbers........... with the excitement and theatrics in that position.............. other than Cam at our U this year??????...

Think about that..........our Cam is once in a generation player at QB, and they know it......

The bias against our U dating back over 40 years still exist and is alive and healthy.........some selectors are just being ****s......
decisions don't be a dick GIF
