Gaby says he’ll most likely go to a school to play WR. UM will try to convince him to play on the line of scrimmage (once again). He also says he can see him following Julian Lewis and ending up at Colorado.
So dude was a TE (no longer wants to play)
Now wants to (and can) play WR
UM bringing him in to try to “convince” him to play TE
Got it…makes perfect sense.

How do you know he can play WR?

He only had 7 catches for 65 yards vs western Kentucky, usf, mercer and Wisconsin. So they didn't even play him for their conference schedule.

If he's visiting, he's at least interested in the concept.

Sell him on using him like we did Arroyo. A little inline usage but mostly split out wide.

I think this is the selling point that has him interested.

We keep trying to convince big body athletes to play TE…never works lol
Someone needs to get in these kids ears and tell them their long term future is at TE. I don’t get how he could see how we used Arroyo and think that wouldn’t benefit him.

I don’t think it matters with J Lewis going to Colorado though.

it doesnt matter if he can or not, he doesnt want to be a TE. were trying to convince him to play TE. waste of time
I hear ya with the waste of time comment.

But to be fair, if they think he could be special at TE, then they do have the prerogative to chase that.

And maybe they think, maybe correctly, that he's a JAG at War.

Sort of like that USC WR, who should've been clearly a DE. You gotta at least try.

I realize kids are stubborn af and short sighted, and it's typically a waste of time (James Williams anither good example).
