said this a zillion times. no issue with Byrd going to Knoxville as it's hard to fault him. the issue I have is wait until NSD and don't make a commitment you can't uphold. if you are good enough, which clearly he thinks he is per his comments then you won't lose your spot at either school.

His logic makes no sense.

I could go start right away or fight for the job. I'd rather fight for the job.

That just proves this kid is a clown. He could lose the fight and ride the bench. We'll see how at home he feels there

Funny thing is Cager is going to be a SOPHMORE in college and he is younger than Byrd lol

I like that he said it felt like home. I guess so, you took your roommate with you.

Agreed. It would suck if he bailed even after the dead period. But if he did, the staff would've had a couple weeks to try to sell the top spot to someone like Shyriem Carter. We now have to hope for a NSD miracle with Carter.

And it's not like he was guaranteed to start. We got Corn and Redwine. Richt doesn't strike me as the guy that's just going to give you the starting gig.

The real thing to watch out for is who's going to be the next HC at Tennessee when Butch Jones gets his *** canned. If CFA isn't contributing and the staff takes a look at those knees, that boy may be on his way out. College football is as cut throat as the NFL. Unfortunately for some of these kids, they just don't see the big picture.

nto really. miami isn't desperate at cb. yes cb is thing but so is wr. miami is after some nice cbs/ they got malek y oung who will be a cb so far, carter would be a huge get, and pierre coming back to miam commit would help . byrd is a big loss because he is gonna be a very good player in college.

miami can go out and sell cb openings and have a full year to recruit kids next year. i hope we somehow get carter , and pierre but if not its not the end of the world.
