It's not really Golden's defense.

It's Golden's defensive front, with D'onofrio's coverage shell from PSU. And then they occassionally use D's front with a man-2 behind it (Golden). It doesn't ******* work though.

D'Onofrio has been his DC for almost a decade. He knows what he's capable of as a coach.

BTW Bill Miller got hired by Nick Saban after Butch fired him and Michigan State went 10-2.

I'm not calling for Golden's head, but this is his scheme, and he's had more than enough time to evaluate D'Onofrio.
