He ever leave the field today?

I'm sure he made a lot of mistakes when you watch the film but I am more impressed with him every week.

That is not an ideal situation for a freshman safety. The bull**** blocking, the movement, the physicality. He took another big big step today in the big picture.

yeah Highsmith and Rodgers played a lot as did Bush.

I thought the were gonna toss him for that face mask early on
 
He gets better every week. TONS of potential with that kid. He's going to be a great one here.

Yeah man these are the type of learning experiences the great ones have to persevere through to get better. He was in a dogfight today and he got some licks in.

I'm almost fine with that facemask. He saved a touchdown on it. He probably could have stopped the guy without committing the penalty, but I'm not gonna fault a freshman for doing whatever he can to stop a touchdown when he was the last resort.

I wasn't mad about the penalty at all but it was getting pretty dirty down there on the field leading up to that play I was scared the officials were gonna make an example out of him

Deon is the real deal for sure. Can't wait to see he and Jamal Carter Roming around back there soon!
