Alright folks, if we are going to get back to where we all want to be we know this is the class we need to close on top. The way I see it we have a fantastic class so far but we are missing a few key players that could jump us to elite status within 2 years Ill say just to be conservative.

DT Targets
*Keondre Coburn- Hearing that he is on an official this weekend got me GIDDY, dude would be the biggest addition outside of PS2 and TC.
*Dennis Briggs- My 3rd favorite DT prospect after Nasty and Keondre Coburn. This would be a major step forward when it comes to depth imo.
Jamarcus Chatman- Easily number 4 for me personally, I would still take him happily but I don't think he would have the instant impact as the other 2 listed above.
Michael Thompson- This cat could easily be #2 on this list for me, but I don't have as good of feeling as I do with Coburn and Briggs. Im telling you though, if we pull off Briggs, Coburn AND Thompson........ we will forget all about Norton and RJ leaving early.

DE Target
Give me Chatfield and call it a day. BUT WE HAVE TO CLOSE WITH HIM.

LB Target
Xavier Peters- I can't say that I was in love with our LB haul from last year but I think that was more a byproduct of our big 3 having the season they did. I do like Wilder but outside of that Steed and Jennings just don't have the same look as our big 3 we have now. Peters would be a solid pickup and better than Steed or Jennings but I again don't see him as the game changers we have now. LB needs to be a MAJOR target next cycle.

OL Targets
NONE.... I like our guys we got committed this cycle and LOVED our haul from last year. That said we need to finish with a top OL class EVERY YEAR to pair with our skill position players. I would take our WRs/RBs/TEs over anyone in the entire nation. We have underachieved for years because our OL has a.) not gotten the coaching they need and b.) haven't had the quality depth we need given our talent at WR or RB.

Moral of the story... WE NEED MOAR LINEMEN. This is the one area of concern I have with building this new DyNASTY, we have been doing a good job the last couple years working with what we have but we need MOAR. That is all gents. What are your thoughts on the steps we need to take the next step? What do you think our chances look like with these guys?

"If we pull off Briggs, Coburn, and Thompson..." Would be nice, but I think you have a greater chance of being struck by lightning than that happening.

Oh and Steed is easily the best of the three '17 LBs.

Im with you on the DTs. I will say people will probably be surprised how much of a great chance we do have with Thompson. Great Kool connect, the high school he is at is a big fan of Kool and lastly with Patke on the job I can see him closing this for Kool.

Xavier Peters is a Tyriq McCord type. Big time talent and athleticism. I think he's better than any LB we have a had a strong chance with in the past two years. Would be a huge get.

I think you may have discounted Steed especially since he didnt play at all. He was a major talent before the surgery. With our SC and nutritional team he should become as major a contributor as there can be for a non-starter.

I think from what you documented we finish with this (W/%)

Thompson - 60%
Briggs - 90%
Chatman - 100%

Chatfield - 100%

Peters - 100%

Shoot Ill take those chances with Thompson, seems like we haven't heard much on him which could be why I don't have the best feeling on him. How about Coburn? Thoughts?

Also, I will definitely be open to taking heat on Steed. Frankly I wasn't overly impressed with his HS film and don't know much about his frame but Wilder was overall more impressive to me. That said, you're right I could be thinking that because of his redshirt year where guys essentially go missing for a year. Hope Im wrong on Steed and look forward to seeing him get his chance.

Question. Where’s the Thompson stuff coming from? Is it just cuz he’s a mizzou product and that’s Kools old hood? I haven’t seen anything linking the Canes being in the mix.
