It was a thing of beauty watching those free throws go in. Big time players step up in big time games! When he dictates the game with his energy is when we're at our best.

Also, bravo coach L starting IV. Think he stuck with the 2nd half lineup too long, but we got the all important W.

Lykes is quickly on his way to becoming a folk legend.

Gotta get on the glass more, 20 offensive boards for FSU is unacceptable.

Great game by the fellows. They kept up the tempo beautifully and got easy shots. This was a game that could have easily gotten away but BB came through.

About the lineup. I predicted Lykes would start over DJ. He is our PG. Newt's PT is now uncertain too as Walker progress's (hopefully) . Newt will have to produce more and turnover less to get minutes. We could really use Walker on the boards too. We push it we win we slow it down we lose.

Lykes will continue to come off the bench but if he did start it would be for Newton not DJ. Lykes plays point guard not shooting guard.

Lonnie had another dreadful game. Hopefully he starts playing like a top 10 recruit in the country, we need him to if the team is going to reach their goals this season.

Loved Brown's work on the defensive boards too. He gets up there and has sure hands. One thing Corey Alexander said on the broadcast that's sorta obvious but true -- "Brown should be doing this EVERY game, he can get to the rim whenever he wants!".

The announcers said that Coach told BB in practice on Sunday before the game that " You are the best athlete in the gym you need to be more aggressive". Looks like BB was able to do it. A lot of guys just can't. Sheldon could if he was feeling it. Reed could in short stretches but it wasn't natural for them. We desperately need that aggression. Could be a difference maker this season.

hotshot obfan Couldn't agree more. BB needs to bring that Russell Westbrook-type energy every night, OK, that's not humanly possible, but something close to it, lol.

Agree JKH

Lykes is our guy right now and hopefully for the next 4 years. BB is very good at bringing up the ball. Amp can do it and he also does a lot of intangible stuff like keeping rebounds alive and in bounding passing. Walker is a make or break situation. He has individual skills but needs coaching up. The coach likes DJ at the end of the game for foul shooting and the 3. We are in a bit of a weird place right now. Newt is kinda odd man out right now. Walker is wild and wonderful. Izundu has to stop fouling people or he is gonna sit. This is what the early part of the BB season is for. Getting ready for the playoffs. Duke does it every year.
