Breaking: FSU admits they are a poverty program - will hire Luke Loucks as HC

No you weren’t, just saying seems overblown how the propaganda was being pushed about him, Duke is Duke, Jon Sheyer is the head man, seems to have things under control

And Scheyer will replace Jai with a Dukie, and the world will keep spinning on its axis.

That is NOT to belittle Jai, it's just a reflection that Duke is a machine that can change out parts without malfunctioning.

I hope Jai is ready to step up, but I am worried about where things settle out if we do NOT land a bunch of 5-stars in the next 2 years.

Jai could work out for Miami. However, I don't think he's the type of coach that can turn around your program instantly. Miami fans need to be patient with this hire. I think it may take some years for Lucas to build this program. It's the risk of hiring someone with no head coaching experience

I'm not disagreeing. I'm a UM alum, I've got nowhere else to go. I don't contribute enough millions to impact the hiring decision. I have to root for Jai to succeed, and I pray that he does.

But I can certainly acknowledge the potential pitfalls, without being the "first" to post a mopey and/or hateful comment in every thread.

As an income tax guy, I'm used to giving smart advice to wealthy people who often ignore logic and rush right into a risky situation. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

You know how people get on here though lol. If Miami doesn't make the tournament year one, people on here will already want him gone

No. People here are tired of settling for absurd bull****. If Louisville can turn it around in 2 years, so can Miami. If ND can reach the natty in 4, so can Miami, if FSU can turn around baseball in short order, so can Miami.

Sure, some people handle it differently than others, but I think what people really want is to be excited for the programs without the excuses and baggage … want to say - home run… not, well, if the CF falls over and it hits the wall at the right angle he’ll clear the bases…

The difference is that Pat Kesley had some good teams at Winthrop and Charleston. He made the tournament in 2017,2020,2021, 2023 and 2024. I’m not saying that Jai won’t be able to turn around this program. All I’m just saying he’s a first time coach and it may take some time

Agreed. But he’s a blue blood super recruiter and Miami decided to go this path, so no excuses. ACC is down. Power 2 on the line. Get it done.

He’s the man, so let’s ******* go!

How much time you think? 2 years, 3 years, 4 years?
