I've been keeping up with my favorite team this whole offseason (UNC) but I'm just wondering how Braxton has looked so far? What do y'all think of him?

Sounds like he is coming along quickly and will push for minutes. Tough group to crack but this kid seems ready. He definitely has a unique skillset and if his hands stay true, he could certainly earn time.
 
I'm excited to see what he can do, I think he can cause some problems for teams coming out of the slot. My concern is that I'm not sure Coley can develop an offense to utilize all of these weapons.

wsheel, Whats up with UNC? What should we expect from them this year? Not to thread jack but want to know how theri D will look and if the QB position is settled and who to look out for?
 
Why is Chad Thomas tackling Braxton Berrios?

Oh wait he's covering him in the slot instead of you know......rushing the QB
 
Easily one of my favorite players, I have high expectations for him and the reports thus far seem to be backing them up.

I'm pretty sure Chad has been lining up as a 3-4 DE in our base sets so I don't think that should be an issue for him.

Golden talked about him in mix for kickoffs and punt returns. Considering who we have for that, Braxton must be getting attention. Kid will get burn.
 
How do you compare him athletically to your boy Switzer from UNC because I can see a similar impact?

He's definitely gonna get burn and hes gonna be involved on returns. Have heard lot of good things about him early on.
 
Berrios will be a factor in the return game and get some burn out of the slot this season IMO.

I'm really excited for this season, I think as usual for Fedora they'll have a super explosive offense and it seems like we'll have a fast defense this year too. We have a young secondary but it's full of guys who played last year as freshmen. Experienced LB's and some promising DL. It seems like every year lately we expect 8-9 wins but never seem to break that threshold. The QB situation seems to be split pretty evenly, Marquise Williams can do all fedora asks him to, but it seems like Trubisky was hand-picked for the offense so we'll see how that goes. They're still splitting reps with the ones during fall ball.

I've always thought Switzer was faster and Braxton was quicker, until Switzer put up a reported 3.77 shuttle this off season. Braxton will probably be more natural at the slot since he's been a receiver, while Switzer was an I-formation tailback in high school. I don't know Switzer so this will be biased, but I would be shocked if he, or honestly many players possess the football smarts or just smarts in general Braxton has. I hope Braxton has a similar impact and season because now Miami is my second favorite ACC team!
