Brad Kaaya's high school team could pick apart D'Onofrio's scheme.

They don't mind slicing and dicing over the middle, that's for sure.

I like how Kayya throws the ball all over the field including intermediate routes over the middle. Morris maybe threw 7 total balls over the middle over the entire course of last season, everything was either long or to the sideline. Kayya's vision to hit the routes over the middle already show a man who possesses a high football IQ.

I didn't want to start a new thread about Brad, but he has been leading the first team in the players' only practices................so either he is that good or the alternative is bad:)

In the film, he got rid of the ball within two seconds, and I only detected him go 2.5 seconds once.

He's the opposite of Snickers.

The NCAA rule change that allows coaches 8 hours a week with players during summer sessions, 2 hours of which can be for film study, couldn't have come at a better time. This benefits not only Kaaya, but Rosier, Heaps and Olsen as well. Being able to sit down with your coach and really learn the playbook and understand the concepts directly from your position coach and coordinator, as opposed to just the involuntary workouts where players are coaching players, is just huge.

I normally wouldn't think that a summer enrollee QB would be ready to start the opener and be successful, no matter how special he might be. It'll still take someone special to be able to do it, but it definitely isn't as difficult as it was in previous seasons. Here's to hoping one of these four are ready to roll come September 1st. I'd love for it to be Kaaya, but I don't care who it is as long as they are ready.

Sorry for the thread title, just so excited for the season .Mods can you change to Brad kaaya highlights. Bad choice of words. Appreciate it. Go Canes

I like most everything about him. Has tremendous promise. I only have two concerns. Taking snaps under center and seems to look down receiver a lot. I understand he has been working on taking snaps under center, but remember Berlin never adjusted well. I will assume he will improve looking off the receiver-- he'll need to. Other than that this kids has the goods. Can't wait to see him under fire.

Gator.... agree with the locking on receiver. That's my biggest concern if he were to take over this year. I think he will learn and we'll see that stop, but it isn't going to happen in two months. On the other hand, I want his receivers... especially # 8 in the video. Who is that kid? Made some great catches

I agree 100%. No doubt he has the goods but his offense is a one read set play. There was not one play in those two highlights where he didn't already know where he was throwing it before the snap. It was obvious the way his head went straight to the receiver he hit every time. Note it is a highlight film but he put the ball on the money with nice velocity on short, intermediate and deep routes. College is a new level and I don't think he will have a problem adjusting fairly quick. I just see a bunch of INT's to start.
