Better to Lose now than ACC CG

So better to lose against an unranked 5 win team with a QB who could barely throw a ball vs possibly a ranked team?

I don't buy it. You lose a close game against another ranked team in a conference championship and you still have a chance at an at-large bid. You lose a game to this average team, after many have called your team a fraud this year with last minute wins and calls by the refs, and it doesn't help your cause. Now you have to hope things fall your way to get into the ACCCG so you can win.
 
I’m too depressed to ******* look. But do we have the necessary tiebreakers to be ahead of Clemson. Also, Lashlee might hang 100 on Guidry.

What do you think has to fall our way to get into the ACCCG?

Miami and Clemson are currently 5-1 in the ACC. The two team tie-breaker is result against common opponent (Louisville). We won, they didn't. We have the tiebreaker.

Win and you're in. That's it. Nothing else has to happen. Win the ACC and you're in the CFB playoff. That's it. Nothing else has to happen.

This game doesn't effect anything except national perception. The end. I'm not saying we're definitely going to win out and make the playoff. But let's not pretend like we suddenly don't control our fate. We still do. Just Win.

Yes ..we own the tiebreaker against Clemson (common opponent is Louisville)

Seems like we have the tie breaker over Clemson. But Pitt plays Clemson and Louisville. If they win out, I can’t imagine that we are in. That would suck.

3-1 Pitt still has to play UVA, CLEMSON, Louisville, and Boston College.

Pitt would need to win out for any kind of tie breaker to go into effect and then it comes down to our opponent win percentage... Obviously we won't know what that is until the end of the season.

I'm just not seeing Pitt winning out, but hey crazier things have admittedly happened. So I guess never say never.

The most likely scenario is it's either us, Clemson, or SMU going to the ACC championship barring some unforeseen catastrophic collapse from 2 of those 3 teams.
 
If Miami and Pitt win out then I have to think the higher ranked team gets the nod. That would be us. Am I wrong?

Not worried about that. Don’t know why anyone else is either. I get our defense sucks, but today our offense sucked too!

These kids are going to get their butts beat in practice by the coaching staff. Wake is going to be over by half. The focus for Cuse will be top notch.

But the point is that we need some help now. Even if we beat the “Mighty Orangemen”.
