Better Prospect: Luther Robinson or Keith Bryant

Bryant's junior tape is amazing and up there with the best...obviously he seems to have caught a little senioritis though. Robinson, as I recall, showed flashes...but when the Gators got in on him late, I don't recall anyone being too concerned one way or the other. My how things have changed.

The ceiling on Bryant is higher, but it is never good to see a regression, obviously.

Seem to be the same players mentally, entitled, talented and don't put in the work

Rob was basically quiet in the recruiting front.i would nobody thought star when recruited.
To those that say scheme to l rob? What did he do before scheme changed. L rob is a jag IMO. Before this regime he was below a jag.

What?

Solely as prospects this is not even close. The only real similarity is that they are both DTs that have skillsets almost exclusively for the 3-technique.

Just because Keith Bryant is a knuckle head, that does not take away from the fact that he had one of the more impressive Jr DT tapes I've seen in a while (up there with Louis Nix). And, even though his senior tape was less impressive than his junior tape, I think people are starting to overstate that as well. His senior tape is still very impressive and legit 4 star DT tape, he just looks a little less all out effort and maybe a half-step slower (clearly gained some bad weight).

As a HS prospect Keith Bryant >>>>> Luther Robinson

This and its not really that close.

I'd rather get Bryant in on an LOI & let the coaches work the drama out if him. Bryant has the physical tools to be a star but needs to mature & understand priorities. Once he does he'll be a wrecking machine. Golden's sports psychology background ought to help with that.

I never thought L Rob was a particularly good prospect. So for me, it's Bryant easily. But I have concerns with Bryant about whether he'll do what he needs to do to improve. Time will tell.

L. Rob just wasn't big enough, quick enough, powerful enough, explosive enough or consistent enough to be a difference maker.

Good post. I am still holding out hope that we land this kid. Miami fans said similar things about Louis Nix and we all know how that turned out. Keith could be a monster if his head is in the right place.

Bryant is definitely the more heralded recruit. LRob did show some flashes early on, I thought he was going to grow into something really special here, this last season was a major disasppointment from him IMO.
