Late in the game, UM down to Florida in Gainesville. OJ Anderson, who was the only offensive weapon on the team runs over 7! defenders to win the game. Can't remember seeing a better run by a UM RB.

Play is at 2:56

I saw him make a 70 yd TD run at Greentree where he probably ran 120 yards. That was one of my favorite games ever as we were down 21-3 at the half and Ottis ran 31 times in the 2nd half to bring us back. When we were boarding the train in Waldo after the game their loser fans were throwing beer bottles at the train.

Wasn't born yet to watch him play but always heard his name mentioned among the greats. That dude was filthy!

He would have led NCAA in kickoff returns that year but didn't have enough returns to qualify

As a Giants fan and a Canes fan he will always be my favorite football player of all time.

He was a Heisman candidate in his senior year. I have no doubt he would of won if he had a team around him.

I watched most of OJ's games live and I still FORGOT how good his was. Remember, wasn't much else on those teams and you knew he was getting the ball. Put the duse on the any of our later teams with Howard or JJ and the carnage would have been unbelievable. Not sure but I imagine he would have set ncaa records in Dennis' one back offense that would still be standing.

Great, great player on some bad teams. NFL scouts picked up on it and taken in first round. Ranks with the best of Canes RBs.

Same here, though I had seen a good bit of his NFL clips.

Watching those Miami highlights in the OP, I'll be honest, I didn't realize ole boy could scoot like that! What a stud. Talk about a pillar for Canes football.
