There’s a very good chance Miami sets single season records for total yards and points this weekend.

They only need 119 yards of offense and 36 points to surpass the 2002 offense as the most prolific in school history. They would only need 12 games to break the record. The 2002 team set the record over 13 games.

It’s great that we’ve finally embraced modern offenses. Having 20,30,40 year old offensive records was so weird in today’s game.

Over many seasons of watching this team, I remember a bunch where we put up good numbers in the air...but we're also running the ball effectively to an extent I do not really remember us doing that often, outside of that couple of seasons we had guys like Portis, McGahee and Gore.

I don't ever remember us getting 100-200 yards every single game, with a couple 200+ thrown in.

Yes and it's not close. We've had offenses with more NFL talent on them, but statically and just what we're doing to teams is unprecedented.

I think it also speaks to how relatively anemic even our best offenses of the past have been. Look at the records we're breaking, both team and individual. It's pretty nuts.

Definitely best offense in last 20 yrs or so. This is a new era obviously, so hard to compare with championship seasons.

In a hotbed full of speed and athletic ability, it took us 20 years to figure out that passing the football and scoring points matters.
