Berrios and Yearby

Sure seems like several of the Freshman have a good mental grasp of the game and what it takes.

Added Yearby: "Win a national championship and contribute to the team any way I can."

We not settling for nothing less

We have our set of triplets offensively. Kaaya, Berrios, and Yearby will thrill Canes' fans the next three years. Enjoy the show folks......

Speaking of Yearby - I know it's a lil off topic but I find it ironic that Flowers came with Duke from Norland and now Darling comes with Yearby from Central. It is probably a good strategy to have experience following one of your offensive lineman for a few years prior to arriving on campus. There has to be some added benefit there. Don't know if anybody has brought up the coincidence before.

We might have missed on a few recruits last year that upset most of us, but I think the 2014 class will be the one remember that marks the return of THE U. If the staff ups its game we are going be very happy this year. Both sides of the ball have added a ton a playmakers. We have veteran leadership and a bunch of confident freshmen who are going to push upperclassmen to higher performance or run them over.

Every single one of them made it in. A class of 27, that's unheard of. Play makers all over that class.

This 2014 class will go down as the class that brings Miami back

everything but the year has been echoed here for the past 10 years. Lets try to stop forecasting and see what they do first. BTW last I heard UM never closed it doors

That's simply not true. The only class I can think of that we all thought signified our return in the last 10 years was 2008.

It's interesting you bring up the 08 class which likely was the most overrated/underachieving class in U history. Granted I agree - like you said - 08 was highly ranked. However I would be shocked if the incoming class underachieves or even under performs the 08 class in their college career.

The problem with the 08 class was the two classes after it and some of our targets well most of them were busts.

You hit the nail on the head. We need to string together 3 (at least 2 minimum) great classes - stars do not rule all by any means but ultimately they need to outperform or overachieve to make it to the ACC title and even more - the new playoff system.

We will find that out sooner rather than later. Coaching obviously will play a huge role. Unfortunately you don't really have evidence till the players make the NFL and either perform better or worse than they did in school.
