I got the same email and will give them a call shortly. It's a pretty good marketing idea.

u talking bout the email where they ask you for your thoughts about this past season and anything they need to different? in that email, i received an offer for bball tickets to any game outside of the duke unc and fsu games for my family and i. if thats the one, then just contact whoever sent you the email. chris yandle sent the email to me so ill just contact him

I received that email. But it didn't have any disqualifiers regarding specific games, which surprised me. Perhaps they changed it later. It also said tell me how many tickets you need, as opposed to merely offering the same number of seats as football season tickets. I agree, it's a good marketing idea, even if my primary advice is to get a new football stadium.

Why do we need a new football stadium when the on campus arena cant fill 3 seats?

lol stadium topic again really? what is this groundhog day. enough. a new stadium will not suddenly fill every seat. this is miami only winning will. ask the marlins what happens when you suck even in year 1 of a new ballpark. we have a small local alumni base and a small student body. we prolly only have about 30k diehards including students, alums, and normal fans that live in the local area and attend. the rest are casual fans that come out to the big games (FSU, OSU, OU) or when were winning and have won a title (02 attendance figures compared to 01). we also have fans and alums of florida and FSU that live in SFL, as well. other schools dont really have to deal w that in their local area.

Our stadium situation is a disaster and I legitimately feel sorry for anyone who doesn't understand that. It means they will go through life not knowing what they are looking at.

i replied to email and now have 4 tix on jan 27th vs. FSU waiting at will call. i never been to a college bball game so this is awesome that they offer us tix like this. i cant wait to see the team play in person

our stadium situation sucks but *****ing bout it everyday on CIS isnt gonna change anything. the city was not gonna fix up the OB like we wanted them to bc half those corrupt politicians were on the marlins payroll. we have to make the best of what we have. were in a BCS/Super Bowl facility that will get revamped and updated in which we dont have to pay for. the atmosphere will get better as long as we win. more people will come if its a winning team. u already saw the place rock when FSU came into town, OSU last year, and OU in 09. the last couple years of the OB the place was empty and dead. the best atmosphere in the last 2 years of the OB was tamu in 07 and labor day fsu 06.

the bball games r fun at least from the student section. not really packed which is a disappointment but it is what it is. the best ones r usually the duke and UNC games. place turns into a real college basketball environment. i remember when we beat duke at home and we tried to rush that was a disaster but the place was rocking. same w when we rushed against wake the year after that.

our group sent an email back, all 9 of us got tickets to NC on Feb 9

Love that the athletic department is finally being run like a div 1 program. If this is a Blake James move then I say give him the job on that alone. Now if we can fix the small things like parking for tailgating, the teams entrance to the field, the music played during warm ups and timeouts, etc. we will be straight

i wish they would go back to playing real music at games and not gangnam style but of course parents love to complain. they need to def fix parking so dumb how u have to meet up somewhere and drive in together and then they still redirect you somewhere else not necessarily next to each other
