I know Pete said we were in contact + there as a small chance we could secure a visit, but I won't get my hopes up considering we seem to be on the outside looking in.

The question I have is who are we competing against in regards to Barnes's recruitment? Crystal balls have him 79% UF, but they already have 3 offensive tackles committed in their class and are "the leaders" for Petit-Frere.

I'd rather have Barnes than Goss; not overly impressed with the latter's offer sheet, but then again I trust the staff in their decision making.

Just re-read this. So you’re not impressed that Goss is being heavily recruited by Auburn and Michigan? Kid has 21 offers and was committed to UF for Christ sakes...

Just re-read this. So you’re not impressed that Goss is being heavily recruited by Auburn and Michigan? Kid has 21 offers and was committed to UF for Christ sakes...

No I definitely noticed those 2 + UF, but other than that there's not a whole lot to scream about. Barnes also has 21 offers, but a wider selection of P5 offers from across the country, including (per 247) the likes of Clemson, Bama, UGA, etc. These offers may/may not all be factual, but it was just my quick observation.

Make no mistake if we nabbed Goss it would be nice, he just seems as more of a projectable O-lineman. Was more curious about Barnes.

Goss has day 1 NFL draft potential. Look up a guy by the name of Tremayne Anchrum. Goss is a few inches taller (which is even better) but is nearly the same build and is similar athletically. As you'll find out when you look up Anchrum, he was considered a project, underweight, etc. and will now be a day 1 NFL draft pick next year. I would happily take Barnes if we can get him, but Goss is no joke.
