Dont know if somebody posted it but if so read it again.

Columbus cornerback Trajan Bandy wasn't immediately making plans to visit Miami after they came through with a meaningful offer last Wednesday.

Things came together rather quickly though and Bandy found himself on campus Thursday for the first time in almost a year. He got a personal invitation to swing by and that was more than a good enough reason to make the short trip over.

"Coach Richt wanted to confirm my offer from Miami so that was the first thing," Bandy said. "He said I should come by so we could sit down and talk about how they're trying to change the program back to how it was in the 90s. He mentioned building an indoor facility because it's super hot a lot of the time."

Bandy (5-10, 180) didn't elaborate on too many specifics of the discussion that took place but he walked away with a very favorable impression of Mark Richt.

"I enjoyed the talk, he's a soft spoken guy but definitely cool and somebody you can trust," Bandy said. "He's more the type to let everything else speak for itself so I heard every single word that came out of his mouth. It was truly a blessing to get back out there and spend some time. I walked all around campus and saw players that I played against in optimist football."

Rather than dwell on what could have been or what wasn't in the past, the new staff focused on what's to come with Bandy.

"It's all about moving forward, Coach Al Golden and Coach Paul Williams didn't really look at me as a great player," Bandy said. "They wanted to see me grow but as time went along, obviously they're not there anymore. I'm thankful they offered now and they said I'm really important to their team. They like my style and they said I'm one of those guys they have to get. They told me I'm a big priority when we were in the office."

Bandy was joined by teammates and Cane commitments Christopher Henderson and Josh Jobe. The experience served to remind him that he could chose to continue their connection at Miami.

"Growing up with them, we're on the same team now but it's been that way since we were little," Bandy said. "I remember we would go out to play and everybody had a smile on their face. We had some of that same excitement getting on campus and I'm looking forward to going back. We'll watch them scrimmage and do 7-on-7 to see how they go about practicing."

Bandy remains on board with the Sooners so Miami obviously isn't at the very top of his list, but they're gaining ground quickly based on recent events.

"I never had anything against them, I just wasn't a big fan of the coaches and how they treated me," Bandy said. "Now I go there, it feels good like it's home. Everything is the same with Oklahoma but Miami is behind them at number two. My heart is in Norman but I need to take more visits with other schools."

Bandy holds 36 offers but reiterated his interest in Clemson, Penn State, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He had 29 tackles, 6 interceptions, and 4 forced fumbles as a junior.

2nd interview from him just for the **** of it.

Miami (Fla.) Columbus CB Trajan Bandy lists offers from top programs around the nation, and he landed a Hurricane scholarship offer May 25.

Today he made it to campus to meet with coaches - he drove down with committed teammates Christopher Henderson and Josh Jobe.

"It went well," Bandy told CaneSport. "The coaches and players showed me a lot of love, it felt good to get back out there and see what Miami is all about.

"I was born and raised in Miami, grew up a Hurricanes fan. I wanted to see what this new coaching staff is all about, and they went in detail with me, broke it down to me how they want to play me and I liked that. And most of all just being at Miami with these two players, Jobe and Henderson - we grew up playing together. So it felt like home to me, my brothers were around me."

Bandy and his father spent a lot of time talking with Mark Richt, and Bandy says the takeaway was: "Coach Richt is a very genuine guy, soft-spoken, very Christian guy. He was real with me. I respect where he was coming from. That was real right there, because as lot of coaches don't really do that."

An Oklahoma commitment, Bandy says the Canes "definitely" have a chance to land him.

"I'd put Miami at No. 2 on my top five list," he says.

How far back are the Canes?

"I don't know how far," Bandy said. "I am just ready to get back to normal and take a hard look into the school, see what this school is offering or this other school is offering playing on the field-wise and education-wise too.

"Miami's right there, not too far from Oklahoma. At the end of the day I have to make the best decision for me, my family and my future after I leave that school."

Bandy says he doesn't plan to make a 100-percent commitment anywhere until after he takes his official visits.

"I want to go to games, watch how they play their players, if they like to play small DB's like myself, if they play a lot of freshmen, I'll be looking at the depth chart," he says.

Bandy says the perceived "late offer" from Miami is no longer an issue for him.

"Not really, because this is a whole new coaching staff," Bandy said. "Those guys offered me my junior year, this year. As soon as they got in there they were like `why doesn't this guy have an offer from his hometown? He's one of the best DB's in South Florida.' And they pulled the trigger, and I'm happy they did."

* Of teammates Henderson and Jobe, Bandy says "they aren't really pressuring me, want the best decision for me. But those guys, they talk to me a lot, say I'm the one missing out."

And I firmly believe that Stoops will, Chise.
As soon as Stoops saw UM offer, I guarantee the first words out of his mouth were, "Oh fck. Who's next on our board at corner."

Haha so true. They know he's gone. Needs to commit and help Deejay recruit them studs.

I agree, but its starting to look like he is going to play the game. Started talking about other programs and taking all his visits. "wont be 100% committed anywhere until all his officials are done".
