BAMA winning is a warm loving reminder of how weak-minded...

I don't think they're taking enough kids from South FLA to keep us from being successful. I think FSU has been a bigger threat than they have.

Would I like to have Ridley, Juedy or Jobe? Sure. But a handful of kids over the years isn't going to hold us back from the ACC Championship and a playoff birth. Once we start making those appearances on a frequent basis then it'll be easier to keep those kids home.

We've won recruiting battles over Alabama too. We have several kids who were heavily pursued by Bama in this 2018 recruiting class alone.

You realize Bama didn't win just because of Ridley? They won because they convinced a lot of other players to not play for their hometowns.

They seemed to think the same thing about Cooper when he was at Bama. Bama only won because the SFL kid (Cooper) was balling out.

Of the 6 true that contributed on offense freshmen, the pulled 5 lock type kids away
Tua from USC
Harris from Michigan
Smith from LSU
Jeudy from Miami
Leatherwood from FSU

Only Ruggs was a bama guy
We were always until the end on the outside looking in with Jeudy.

At the end of the day it's all about money, and if you don't think money is the reason that these kids attend Alabama, then you're an idiot. Plain and simple.

This is a well-oiled machine that Alabama is running behind the curtain - and you can play connect the dots all the way up to Capitol Hill. When you have Senators and Congressmen kissing Saban's *** on TV, it's a dead giveaway. When you have journalists who really aren't looking to snoop in on what's going on in their hometown because it's really all they have going on in that **** town, it's a dead giveaway. Why would they break a story that would potentially take down their biggest source of revenue?

Face it - the Crimson Tide are the only thing that Tuscaloosa has going for it (****, the state at that), so you bet your *** that anyone affiliated with the program that's a player, coach, fan, citizen or elected official will do anything to ensure it keeps winning - no matter what.

...South Florida kids are.

How can kids like Calvin Ridley continue to ensure BAMA's dominance and not play for their hometown team. I know how proud they are that they're from south Florida. They throw up the 305 sign. They talk about it. Kids like Jobe like to hang out with their bruhs from Dade and Broward. Etc., etc. rinse and repeat...

And then, they play for Satan. Over and over and over and over again.

Everyone is so sure that BAMA is "dropping bags". If that is really legitimate and people have actual proof, then why not come forward with it?

Look, if these kids want to ***** themselves out, and of course, that is what they are doing, then go for it, wallow in it and support as many racist institutions as they can possible spread their legs for. But, after doing all of this whoring, don't talk about South Florida and take pride in it. They can be a part of the solution and instead, they prefer to help one redneck BAMA team after another win the NC.

Alright, blast away, but I truly don't get it.

Didn't know everyone had to work/live in their hometown forever.....were you upset when Lebron came to the heat also for those poor cleveland fans?

Anyone who says kids are whoring themselves out by playing for bama instead of the school they like is a f-ing idiot. Stop getting so emotional you sound like jilted lover.

I thought it was funny when the commentators said Tua who family moved from Hawaii to Alabama....lol so dad just up and quit his job and moved whole family to Bama....found a house, job that quick lol

As a Cuban/American who spent 4 years in the cesspool of Atlanta, I do not understand WHY someone would would willingly want to live in the land of the KKK.

These people in Alabama and Georgia DESPISE minorities. Why give up the beaches to live in the Dukes of HAzzard among the KKK!

This is so overrated man. Have y'all actually visited some of these campuses that are in small towns? **** i know people who went to HBCU's in small towns and had a great college experience. The beaches and big city nightlife isn't a deciding factor for the average college kid, if so they all go to USC, UH, and Miami. Now if was a professional player i'd hate to have to live in place like Buffalo, Green Bay, etc.

To the gentlemen who are indignant about the dropping of BAMA bags - then do something about it. It was mentioned that coaches will get blackballed or something if they snitch. Fantastic! Then, someone else do it. What's being suggested in this thread is that BAMA is clearly paying for players, which is illegal, and there is literally nothing that can be done about it.

Um, this isn't Soviet Russia circa 1973 where all dissent or reporting of misdeeds by the elites will be punished severely. If the bag dropping is really going on, then there can and should be something done about it.

The fact that NO ONE has delivered compelling evidence to the NCAA, means either it's untrue, or it's rarely done and not regularly done, OR some boosters need to pay for some private investigators to create a dossier like Fusion GPS and deliver it with a basket of muffins to the front door of the NCAA with a perfumed note stating that they have an opportunity to do something about this, or the evidence and more, goes to the press.

3 kids from Auburn sat down on an HBO special a couple years ago and told the world how much they we paid to play at Auburn, how much they were offered to go elsewhere ,including Baga, and how they knew what a lot of their friends got to go to Other schools.

You know what came out of that confession to the world by these young men?

Nothing.Nada,Zilch.Zero.

The NCAA knows what’s going on. They'd have to be ignorant, blind and stupid not too. They don’t WANT to do anything to their cash cow which is the $EC.

They will grab a school like USC or Miami and come down on them and say” see,we won’t allow this type of stuff to go on” while their moneymakers like the $EC and the OSU’s of the world do what they want.

It’s going on and will continue to go on until the Feds decide they want to come down on it and put a stop to it like they did in BB.You think BB. started paying kids this year? That’s been going on for as many years as football almost but they had gotten so emboldened in how they made the playoffs the Feds said enough.

Snitch? Doesn’t matter if anyone snitches. Its not gonna change anything UNLESS the Feds want to put a stop to it.

Alabama fans are organized and pay cash. Not credit card charged meals like idiot Shapiro. The money adds up and who are you going to rat out? A group of fans dropping cash bags? Even if they do, the school's hands are clean. Add to it, the cost of living is lower in Tuscaloosa.

I’m not saying Bama doesn’t pay players......but it can’t be at the frequency you guys think it’s at.

What’s the actual percentage of guys that are getting paid? 10%? 20%? 50%?

What proof is there?

Do we pay? If so, how much?

We’ve won recruiting battles against SEC schools over the last 5-10 years. The guys that signed with us turned down how much?

I’m with OP. Get specifics out there.

Do a search of Brooklyndee's posts around here in November/December. He literally detailed out an offer from a school out west for his nephew. I actually think the recruiting game may be worse than any of us realize. Of course there are going to be guys who want to stay home no matter what but there seem to be equally as many guys, at least down here, who are up for the highest bidder.

Take a ride to Gulf shores and Orange beach, those beaches blow away any beach in South Florida without all the crowds. I had a lake front property in Bama for 10 years not going to lie some of the old folks are still racist. I also lived in South Florida for 25 years, not one doubt there are more racists in South Florida than Bama. Not even close!

This country should have never agreed to accept Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee, Northern Florida or Kentucky into the Union. I would also kick out all of Louisiana except for NEw Orleans, Bayou country and the Cajun area.

I spent 7 years in Madrid, 5 in NYC, 2 in Sao Paulo, 4 in DC and 5 in Atlanta. The WORST city I ever lived in BY FAR was Atlanta. It is a decrepit dump. We hated it. South is a bastion of mediocrity. Burn it to the ground as far as I am concerned!

You sound pretty racist to me! So all the black and white people living in the South should never have been let into the Union. Gotcha!

These kids are weak minded, they don't want to build nothing they just rather jump aboard the band wagon!! Miami is slowly building something special in Coral Gables, the Surge19' class will be that class where Miami pulls the most SoFla studs.. The tables will be flipping in favor of our Canes sooner than some might think, BUT IF these recruits that have left town to help build winners elsewhere, would've stay home Miami would be dominating CFB!!

Go take a picture of their team parking lot and have them explain that. If anyone ever cared to actually investigate them people (very well known) would go to jail for money laundering, title fraud and income tax evasion.

Oh wait...on second thought.

Y wont other coaches rat? because they all cheat thats y...in some form or way they wont snitch because they do it too. Every top school does it when the coaches r on board it works out better.

Exactly.

Schools like Auburn play the same game. Take the Cam Newton affair. Only in an alternative universe would the SEC/NCAA suspend Cam Newton for the SEC championship game. Interestingly enough NCAA shuts down the investigation the week of the SEC Championship game. Fastest reinstatement in history of the SEC/NCAA as Auburn suspended Newton right after the Iron Bowl. Smoke all over the place but you have to prove it. They couldn't prove it electronically that Auburn drop bags through this guy or through another vehicle. Cam had no idea what dad was doing. Blah, blah, blah. NCAA's answer on all of this. Newton's dad wasn't allowed in the stadium for the National Championship game.

Excerpts from ESPN article below.

The documents indicate Newton's father, Cecil Newton, and ex-Mississippi State player Kenny Rogers sought from $120,000 to $180,000 for the quarterback to sign with the Bulldogs out of junior college but didn't ask any other school for money.

The NCAA informed Auburn in October that it found no major violations in its investigation of Newton's recruitment or other unrelated pay-for-play allegations and was ending a 13-month probe.

Newton led the Tigers to their first national title since 1957 in his lone season at the Southeastern Conference school. He's now starting for the NFL's Carolina Panthers.

The documents shed light on the process, Auburn's arguments and Rogers' apparent motivations.

The NCAA's Academic and Membership Affairs staff declared Newton ineligible on Nov. 30, 2010, after determining Rogers acted as Newton's athletic scholarship agent, violating Bylaw 12.3.3.

He was reinstated the next day, the Wednesday before the SEC championship game. Auburn successfully argued that Newton never had a verbal or written agreement with Rogers or Cecil Newton to act as his agent, wasn't aware of the pay-for-play scheme and received no benefit from Rogers. Nor did Newton hire or compensate Rogers to serve as an agent or athletics scholarship agent, Auburn argued.

"Cam had no knowledge or involvement in this misconduct, and Auburn respectfully submits that he should not be punished for the conduct of others," the university's request for reinstatement said.

The documents offered some insight into Rogers' dealings with Mississippi State representatives John Bond and Bill Bell.

Bond indicated that Rogers, who operated Elite Football Preparation for prospective college athletics, told him he was just trying to get Newton to play for his former school and they "just had to make it happen." Bell also told the NCAA Rogers didn't give him any indication that Newton knew about the efforts to collect money.

"There is no information suggesting that Rogers had similar discussions about a cash inducement with any other institution, either directly or indirectly," one joint Auburn and NCAA document stated.

Auburn said it had no contact with Rogers while recruiting Newton and "was in no way involved with offering or considering an offer of any recruiting inducement."

"Despite numerous media reports suggesting Newton himself has engaged in wrongdoing, the facts clearly demonstrate Newton has done nothing wrong," Auburn told the NCAA.

Rogers also spoke to coaches at Oklahoma and Kansas State about Newton, the NCAA said.

The NCAA and Auburn found Cecil Newton and Rogers first discussed asking representatives of Mississippi State for "a substantial cash payment" around the time of his official visit from Nov. 27-29, 2009. Rogers was also on campus during the visit and, NCAA documents say, he and Cecil Newton met with two Bulldogs assistants in a hotel lobby and discussed payment. The two coaches denied to the NCAA that such inducements were discussed.

The NCAA notified Auburn of its investigation on Oct. 5, 2009, and requested documents including texts, emails and bank records for Cam Newton and his parents and for Cecil Newton's suburban Atlanta church from Dec. 1, 2008 to Sept. 1, 2010.

The governing body also sought texts and cell phone records for Auburn coach Gene Chizik and assistants Curtis Luper and Gus Malzahn -- Newton's primary recruiters -- from the same period.

The documents said Cecil Newton's phone records indicate that he and Rogers exchanged some 275 calls or text messages between March 2009 and January 2010, with "the vast majority of these related to MSU's recruitment of Newton." Only about 15 came after Newton signed with Auburn on Dec. 31, 2009.
