It's no secret schools pay recruits; it's just the SEC schools care more about football and have more boosters who are willing to spend more $$$ than most of the other P5 schools. ACC and $EC do the same with B-ball.

The new generation of Waltons does not contribute nearly as much as the founder did. New generation went to Georgetown and is more into art, skiing in San Moritz and Europe.

I like MR alot and what hes done but thats the only reason I wanted BD because he wouldnt care if we were bagging.

Bidding wars would still exist. Let's not kid ourselves. Even if the NCAA paid $50k, these kids would still want the additional $200k. If the NCAA paid $200k, many kids would still want the additional $200k. It's free money.....tax free.

If the IRS and FBI crawled up the @ss of the NCAA or these donor corporations, they could make it go away. But we all know that's not going to happen, so business as usual come 2019.

How much do we actually do this to compete with the $EC? i doubt we drop bags. I would think its more likely that we just hook guys up with stuff once they are here. like food, cars, apparel, nightclubs, etc
