The only thing I’m curious about is this, if Bama can drop 100k on a player, how much can Miami drop. Half that? 30%?

Actually the 'Dawgs foundation does not pay as much as Alabama. Brynat Jr's "foundation" pays the most.
The new generation of Waltons does not contribute nearly as much as the founder did. New generation went to Georgetown and is more into art, skiing in San Moritz and Europe.
Alabama pays the most and then Georgia. A TON of Atlanta money ensures solid recruiting classes. Our fund's CEO said they had to keep Richt in the dark. The new coach probably welcomes the help since he comes from Alabama and is used to such largesse.

Georgia got bags to. Georgia will over run Alabama off the simple fact that if Alabama and Georgia were paying me I much rather live my next 4 years in Athens then TuKKKcaloosa.

It's no secret schools pay recruits; it's just the SEC schools care more about football and have more boosters who are willing to spend more $$$ than most of the other P5 schools. ACC and $EC do the same with B-ball.

The SEC schools only care more bc football revenues drive the local economy in those Podunk towns.
