Ordinarily we would look at each position and configure the remaining slots available for each position. At this point,
I see only one (1) available slot for a RB, and assume it will be Collins. If he commits soon, I think we abandon efforts with D. Green [and anyone else Al has up his sleeve we don't know about.]
I see two (2) slots available for LBs and assume J. Grace & M. Thomas fill them. If we get a commitment soon we abandon Foster.
Only one WR slot available and it goes to Coley, if he speaks up, leaving Whitfield in Trailerhassee.
That leaves DT. I don't see more than two (2) slots with K. Bryant, J. Bostick & Dee Liner as possibilities. I assume it's first come, first served.

Final prediction --- same as HStokes posted on another thread.

Total 21, including R.L.III. If we sign 'em all (and I think we will), that will leave us 5 over the 85 limit, requiring the necessary attrition. That should be no problem. I'm sure Al has his finger on the situation better than me.

FWIW, we finished the year with 80 scholarship players. We are at 68 now with Paul and the seniors leaving. White (maybe off football schollie), Finnie, Thompson (if he playing FB next year) are all question marks.

21 would put us at 4 over the limit. Plus there is always more attrition after Spring.

I was under the assumption that Thompsons ship won't be counted toward football until he plays in a game.

It counted towards football the second he stepped on campus. He was recruited by the football staff, therefor he will count towards football until and if he gives football up.

I dont know how Golden is working the numbers. I dont care how he does it. Everytime I try and figure it out it, i just can see who is gonna be leaving.
 
Thought the EEs fell on last years class making the overall limit for 2013 17-18.

We lost 11 seniors and 3 underclassmen, including Paul, White, and Jermaine Johnson.

The players they are currently targeting, have a spot...regardless of the number.

Unless Miami swings and misses in the worst way on tons of those targets, then we'll take a few Plan B's...but not each of the Plan A's have them.

You have listed like 8 non-committed players that I would say are "realistic" shots at coming here...if each one wants in, they get in. I would say maybe 4 of those players have legitimate backup plans in the mix. Otherwise, its all or nothing.

Johnson is already factored in ending the season with 80. If White is off football scholarship then we are at 67.
