H-back? **** yeah I want but from what I remember months back it looked like taint was the leader so this one has me nervous

Looking like OSU he's moved 3 times because of his dad and NFL jobs. He will choose osu to be near his dad..

I don't get this. His father started for us, I think on one of the NC teams, maybe '87. Why not a little fatherly persuasion a la Mike Irvin?

I personally think we have a really good chance but the last article i remember it seemed like Taint had a strong affect on him but that was a while back

I'm not gonna lie. If I was an alum of the U football teams and my son didn't bleed orange and green, I'd disown him.

It's a funny thing about football alums. Back in the '80's I was active as a volunteer with the Hurricane Club. I also was old enough to remember a lot of the players from the '50's on. I would find football alums from all different periods and try to get them to come to viewing parties in the Washington, DC area, where I live. I remember talking to the people in the alumni office. One told me that many football alums felt they had already paid their dues and were done. Of course, I've found many who don't follow that pattern, and are still enthusiastic.

If you knew how many top prospects we've lost over the last 25 years, whose fathers were outstanding, or at least, good football players at UM: Andre Carter, Cal (Rubin); Tony Cline, Jr, Stanford (Tony); Brock Olivo, Missouri (David); Zach Latimer, Oklahoma (Don), Jay Foreman, Nebraska, (Chuck).

Of course, some of these guys played for UM when we had lousy teams, in the '70's. So, they might not have as much allegiance, or maybe too much time had passed.

I think we didn't recruit some of these guys, maybe because they had no interest, or we had no interest. Only Latimer and Carter, and maybe Foreman, were blue-chippers or close to it. Brock Olivo won some award for Missouri as the best special teams player in the country, or something like that. I don't know that he was any kind of significant recruit, until I saw him playing for Missouri. I confirmed that it was David's son, because I remembered that David Olivo went to the St. Louis Cardinals as a QB after he left Miami. I recall Tony Cline Jr being recruited in the late '80's when he lived in northern California, but I don't think we were interested.

Given his measurables, I would think Austin Roberts would be somebody we'd have an interest in.

Who is Taint? I understanding hating on other schools and appreciate all the info Killa is bringing, I just wish we could all use our big boy words.

I think its Ohio State. Where does taint come from though ha? I've never really known that. The only logical explanation I got was something like 'Ohio sTAINT'. idk. idgaf. but yeah.

Kid is a beast. Would be awesome if he commits and I hope does. I we had this many defensive recruits seriously considering and committing.
