Our attendance is no issue other than numbers. So when our gator friends or others hate, here is some stats.

So our stadium fits 75,000 ish.
School has
-10,000 students
-189k living alumni

UF 93,000 capacity
-59,000 students
-300k living alumni

If 70% of student body attends.
UM- 7,000 with 68,000 to fill
UF- 42,000 with 50,000 to fill

So today for instance
-Looks like we got 7,000 students and had 50,000.
- UF Lets say got 42,000 students and now what looks like 85,000 attendance.

Looks like same crowd in terms of ratio. Some numbers may be over or under stated but issue is law of numbers is why we have what some call issues for attendance. To me it's normal.

nice breakdown lol but really i dont even listen to that attendance crap anymore

I don't either. I was at the game, it was pretty full. I was very pleased with the attendance. It looks worse on TV because S Florida fans don't always stay in their seats, and they show up late/leave early.

Didn't look that bad on TV last night. They actually showed the side that had people in the stands.

in terms of students, um had 7700ish according to freet and will have over 9000 for the uf game

Not defending UF, but they don't have that many students attend their games. Their student section is about 22 or 23,000. When I was at FSU for Grad School, it was at 16,000 and they only filled it for Clemson, Miami and Florida.

For once when they announced 50,000, it looked like there were actually close to 50,000.

You ....just....can't....be....serious.

Yes....I.....am.....I know it's cool to rip our attendance and say we had 15,000 fans there, but we had a good crowd last night.

Stadium seats 75,000 (65,000 with the tarps). Lower deck was almost full. The upper deck was about 1/3 full. How many do you think were there?

It has nothing to do with being cool. And, nobody said 15,000. It's about seats with no people in them. 35k-40k is a reasonable estimate. Available seating was maybe a little over half full. Those TV shots throughout the game don't lie. I don't doubt for a second that UM sold/distributed 50K tickets, but they weren't at that game.

We have 189k living alumni? That seems VERY high to me. Relatively impossible.

Miami has been growing steadily but I'd be surprised if over the last 50 years we averaged more than 1200 graduates a year. Maybe even less. We used to be real small.

Anyone have confirmed stats?

Lower bowl wasn't full. Maybe 60-70%% full on the lower bowl. Only 30-40% full upper deck. There were less than 40k people at the game last night. The announced attendance was 50k but that includes season tick sales (which are way up this year thanks to the UF game) and plenty of those tix weren't used last night. Still 35-40k is a big improvement for an opponent like FAU. Also, I have to say it was a great move to move the student section to behind the visitors bench. Looked good over there.
