Tex I liked your earlier thought of the day on Morris' biceps.
Will Notre Dame ever give up their independence? I believe they will and must join a conference. Why? First, the Irish will find it difficult, if not impossible, to win a national football championship without conference affiliation.
Didn't Notre Dame play for the BCS championship this year?
ol wethers original eating sittin by the window in a rockin chair *** nlgga
They are named after a church in France!!!! What the **** does Irish have to do with a church in France!! They should be called the fighting Fleur De Elisse!!! Not a **** thing to do with Ireland or Irish, Notre Dame is a ****ing church in FRANCE!!! ***** EM! Might have something to do with them being a Catholic school. Ireland along with Poland, historically are two of the most ardently Catholic nations. It can be debated that without either Western Civ. would not have developed the way it did.
As for being named after a church in France, that church along with all the other church's named Notre Dame and the University are named after Mary, the mother of Jesus, "Our Lady." I'm guessing "Notre Dame" was picked over "Mater Dei."
In 2014 ND will add 6 ACC games to their schedule. I'm hoping we are a fixture in their schedule as I absolutely detest ND.
Can't stand them.

I know what Notre Dame stands for, I too went to CCD and confirmation, and going by your first statement then should they not have been nicknamed the "Fighting Poles"? or since the Latinos make up the largest percentage of the 1.2 billion Catholics, the "Fighting Latins" or "Fighting Sombreros"? And I can ask that because I come from Latin very Catholic parents.
It was a joke, but seriously I detest ND!
