Around The ACC ‘22
What up doe canes fans? It’s that time of year to take a look at our conference and path to the ACCCG.
This is running thread just like the previous years. We going to look at the standout players and standings.
The ACC actually had a decent showing week 1.
8 of 14 teams are already in the W column. Clemson-GT play tonight. So that will be 9/14 in the W column.
ACC Coastal
This side has been the Wild West for years. Different teams to the ACCCG **** near every year. Probably the most unpredictable division in CFB.
Anyways no one has played a conference game in the division yet. So I’m rolling with the win totals from ESPN until we hit up conference play.
ACC Coastal Standings
1. VT 1-1 (1-0)
2. UNC 3-0
3. Duke 2-0
4. Miami 2-0
5. Pitt 1-1
6. UVA 1-1
7. GT 1-1
ACC Atlantic Standings
1. Clemson 2-0 (1-0)
2. Syracuse 2-0
3. FSU 2-0
4. NCST 2-0
5. Wake Forest 2-0
6. Louisville 1-1
7. BC 0-2

Important Games for the ACC and results. (This will start changing once conference play begins for the race to the ACC title)
Week 1.
Week 2
Wake Forest/Vandy
Duke/Northwestern
Tennessee vs Pitt
Week 1. Observations around the league.
Duke looked pretty decent. They normally win those types of games 35-17. So the shutout is surprising. The QB looked good.
UNC They can score and I think the Drake Maye kid is the goods. The defense will probably cost them in the future and they keep finding ways to win. 2-0.
Wake Forest no Sam Hartman and scoring like that? Them boys know how to coach. Curious to watch the Vanderbilt game this week.
Pitt what happened to that defense. Result a little surprising because I had Pitt in contention for Coastal title with the pieces they have. Yes you lose Pickett and Addison but the cupboard wasn’t bare in steel city. But they are 1-0. Eyes to Tennessee where UT is a 7 point favorite. If they can get a W that team will start to build confidence.
UVA My sleeper sneaky coastal team this season. One of the best QBs in the ACC with Brennan Armstrong. Was curious to how Tony Elliot would utilize him. Armstrong was himself and had a **** of a game. Illinois is favored in the next game. Let’s see how it plays out.
Week 2 Observations
Pitt: I thought going into the game that Pitt had a pretty good shot at winning. Kedon Slovis got injured and didn’t play second half. That’s pretty major news. He was the reason I thought they had decent odds in the division. He’s also why i never bought into Pitt just falling off. Let’s see how they look the next few weeks if Slovis is to miss extended time.
Duke: Keeps on rolling? Is the QB really the goods? We will see in the coming weeks.
Wake Forest: Sam Hartman was back and they rolled Vanderbilt from the mighty SEC.
Week 3 Notable Games
FSU/Louisville
Miami/TAMU
TT/NCST
Ole Miss/GT
