Jobe is playing well out there now though. Seen a clip where he locked up Pope quite easily and got a pick.
Im a fan of Frierson and Hall though..but Jobe will be on the field asap for bama. I never thought he was coming here...and have a few guys in s.fla as better players in the secondary (Surtain, Campbell, Hall) but he is still among the elites

I don’t dispute he’s a big time prospect. Saban is as selective as they come when he dips into Florida. I am, however, surprised he’s not bigger. Looking at him next to Pope, he sure looks small for a Bama safety.

Topic I think a few recognize but no one wants to discuss... Nesta's a solid prospect but far from the world beater folks here want to act like he is. He's not going to just come in and wreck ****, I don't think. I guess he's the only DT we got though, so...

NORTON and RJ haven’t decided so I’m not even going to go there just yet. But you are so gifted that you already think that he’s not good enough. Have you even seen this kid play? Nesta didn’t even do any moves, he just man handled and drove the O-Lineman back.

Really depends on who is back. If Norton, McIntosh are back, those guys plus Willis are top 3. Expect Ford to be the next guy. Silvera and Bethel would be fighting for snaps, but they’re different types of player at different stages of their development. Without 1 of the top guys, you end up having snaps for both silvera and bethel, imo.

Hypothetically speaking would bethel slide to SDE now that chad and DJ left? Or bc the impending departure of RJ and Norton he has to stay inside? Just a question bc he was built like RJ too and came in as an end so was thinking he could fill that gap if need be

If its the same clip I saw Pope actually had jobe beat pretty easily and had to wait an eternity for the ball to get to him and it was a very poor throw as well. Again may be a different clip but the one I saw Pope had him beaten easily and make an easy catch if the ball is thrown on time

If its the same clip I saw Pope actually had jobe beat pretty easily and had to wait an eternity for the ball to get to him and it was a very poor throw as well. Again may be a different clip but the one I saw Pope had him beaten easily and make an easy catch if the ball is thrown on time

It defitniely was a late and poor throw but Jobe even with being a little grabby read it perfectly

Missing the point broke. I could read it perfectly if the ball is thrown 5 seconds late.

Bethel's not moving to SDE. We're barren in terms of numbers at DT.

It's prob the play where Jobe held on to Pope to the point where his shoulder pad came out

You don't follow much CFB, do you? It is extremely rare for any DT coming out of HS to make an impact as a true freshman - it's one of the toughest positions to make that transition. And it's compounded by the fact that (IIRC) NEsta won't be here in in the spring. It all boils down to what your definition of "impact" is. Will he start? No. Can he take some snaps as a rotational guy as the 4th DT, perhaps? Sure. I'm sure he can fill that role and get some rotational snaps as a backup and occasionally make some plays. That's about as good as one can expect him to do as a true freshman. I personally like that guy a lot and think he can be good, but I'm not expecting too much splash as a true freshman, regardless of what our starters look like.

Nesta has said he was a solid commit out at the army bowl practice and said he might but didn’t give a percentage on taking a trip to osu who has a 5star and 2 4star committed at his position. Relax...

As he have seen, that is a legal college football move (holding on to jersey's/pants and sleeper holds on DE) seems like Jobe is way ahead of the curb.
